Is it too early to serve up a holiday feast? The answer to that is yes,  precisely a week away from Thanksgiving, but it’s never too early to carve up and share what sports entrees I’ve got prepped and ready to go as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:43) It’s been a wild week on the New York football scene as there was a GM fired by the Jets and a surprise pick at QB by the Giants. I’ll dissect both scenarios as Joe Douglas was let go by Gang Green. Where do they stand now and moving forward? While Tommy DeVito has been thrusted the starter over QB2 Drew Lock, meaning the end of the Daniel Jones era for the G-Men. What does this mean for an organization that’s hit on hard times since winning a Super Bowl 13 years ago. I’ll peek at the Week 12 schedule which is underwhelming, to say the least. Will the Pittsburgh Steelers follow up their huge win over Baltimore with a stinker in Cleveland? The first time nominees for the Hall of Fame were announced as Eli Manning is the headliner. Is he a first ballot HOF’er?

(32:25) The latest college football playoff selections were released on Tuesday night. This week I have a different observation. Will the committee revamp the playoff system by not awarding the conference champions a bye and go back to not just seedings, but strength of schedule, conference, etc.

(41:33) The last undefeated team in the NBA finally suffered a loss as the Cleveland Cavaliers were defeated in Boston by the defending champions two nights ago. The big story of the past few days is Sixers center Joel Embiid was called out by his All-Star teammate, Tyrese Maxey, for all intents and purposes, not being the leader as the face of the franchise. Is he right? Was he wrong to say that? Can Embiid be the leader that the Sixers need? I’ll unpack that and everything else that’s going on in the Association.

(53:37) On the ice, Alexander Ovechkin continues his assault on the all time goal scoring record held by Wayne Gretzky, netting two goals in Utah. Now it has to be put on pause when he sustained a leg injury after colliding with a Utah player. How long will he be out of the lineup? The Boston Bruins fired their coach Jim Montgomery after a quarter of a season played. Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews has been out since Nov. 3 with an upper body injury. How much longer will he miss?

(1:01:38) With the MVP in the MLB announced tonight, I’ll recap who has won the offseason awards to date. More importantly, the buzz surrounding free agent Juan Soto is reaching a fevered pitch. I’ll share an interesting parallel with another top player in a different sport that was in the same position as Soto. I’ll also run through the first time nominees for the Hall of Fame, led by Ichiro Suzuki and CC Sabathia. And another name change to a ballpark that we’ll have to get used to, this time in Houston.

Get ready for some classic podcasts this week (THREE OF THEM) as I could do these in my sleep with so much to unpack, you won’t know what hit you as the sports world will shift into fifth gear. On deck:

(6:50) They ran out of gas and magic simultaneously. The 2024 New York Mets were unable to meet their crosstown rivals in a Subway Series as they were defeated in the NLCS by the LA Dodgers in six games. What’s next for this franchise as they try to take this team to the next level? As I mentioned, the Yankees punched their ticket over a pesky, gutty Guardians team in five games. It sets the stage for a colossal dream matchup between two old rivals. This is only the beginning, people as Thursday’s podcast will have plenty of breakdown, analysis, predictions and personal investment. What I will discuss here is how baseball is ecstatic over this World Series, but will there be interest throughout the nation over this talent rich Fall Classic?

(37:31) There’s only one remaining undefeated team in the NFL. To no surprise, it’s the Kansas City Chiefs. What is a surprise is the output of QB Patrick Mahomes, throwing more interceptions than touchdowns to date. How is this possible? The Vikings lost their first game of the year to the Lions, who have overtaken the NFC North. A puzzling QB change in Pittsburgh comes up roses as Russell Wilson put forth a good three final quarters to run the Jets out of Acrisure Stadium. I’ll also discuss a brutal injury to a depleted 49er offense, the disaster in Cleveland, not just with Deshaun Watson, but the owner wants a domed stadium in a nearby suburb? Saquon Barkley, Packers breathing down the Lions & Vikings necks and much more!

(56:02) A topsy turvy college football regular season continues with Georgia dominating defensively at Texas, moving up three spots in the ranking, where Texas falls back to #5. What about Alabama, losing their second game of the season at Tennessee, but with Missouri and a trip to LSU in the near future, could they not be a part of the college football playoff mix?

(1:03:40) Hoops fan, the NBA tips off tomorrow night. I’ll have a preview of the upcoming 2024-25 year in the morning, but with the Celtics raising their 18th banner to the rafters with the Knicks coming in, on top of Kawhi Leonard out indefinitely for the Clippers to the chagrin of the owner Steve Ballmer who’s opening a brand new crown jewel of a building on Wednesday night (Intuit Dome). I’ll send some kudos to the NY Liberty who won their first WNBA title. Was it amid some controversy in a thrilling Game 5 over Minnesota? And college coach Tony Bennett of Virginia retires due to the “current environment” of the landscape with NIL’s and transfer portals impacting the sport.

(1:14:20) Two weeks into the NHL season, you have some teams that are unbeaten or undefeated (Winnipeg is 5-0) or winless (San Jose is 0-4-2 and Nashville is 0-5) as the play on ice is just warming up.

Sky Is Falling NFL Week 1 Overreactions! Goodell: 16 NFL Int’l Games?! Texas Title Worthy? While Michigan & ND Flop! Status Quo MLB Pennant Races. Sinner Wins Open Amid Controversy

I’ve got my sleeves rolled up, ready to unleash the inner sports beast as I have plenty to say over the course of the next hour plus as the latest episode is here. On deck:

(6:48) NFL Week 1 was all that, a bag of chips and a six pack of your favorite beer. You have 15 cities that is dreaming of a trip to the Super Bowl and 15 others that think the sky is falling and that their season is over. There are four places that have expectations, but disappointed their fan base (i.e. Falcons, Browns, Bengals & Giants) due to their lack of execution and flat play. I’ll highlight each team, go through all of the games this weekend. On top of unpacking Dak Prescott’s the richest player in NFL history, Lamar Jackson’s play in the opener against KC, the Ravens predictability on offense, Roger Goodell wanting SIXTEEN international games and Kendrick Lamar’s your Super Bowl Halftime performer. How do you think his adversary, Drake feels about this?

(45:58) There were two loud booms in a rather quiet college football Week 2. Texas went into the Big House to play the defending champion Michigan as took them to the back of the woodshed, winning 31-12. Is Texas a threat to be a champion before the end of the year? Will Michigan bounce back from his hangover? What happened to Notre Dame? They were a 28.5 point favorite vs. Northern Illinois only to lose in the final seconds 16-14. Does this loss bode well for the Fightin’ Irish? Or one that may be tough to overcome in the long run?

(53:20) We’re down to the final three weeks of the MLB season. Things are status quo as there are only two races worth discussing. The AL East between the Yankees-Orioles and the final NL Wild Card spot with the Braves-Mets.

(58:56) The US Open concluded yesterday as the tennis year went out in a whimper as Jannik Sinner won his first Open title, amid controversy surrounding two recent failed drug tests. And Aryna Sabalenka overcomes a loss to Coco Gauff in the final last year to beat Jessica Pegula for her initial Open win.

(1:04:21) I’ll wrap up with some NBA news as Nuggets guard, Jamal Murray gets a max contract.

(1:05:34) And two retirements in the NHL by the Staal brothers (i.e. Eric & Marc) as they combined for 35 years in the league and move on to the next phase of their respective lives.

Saints/Chiefs Stymied Among NFL Week 10 Storylines. Is Alabama Out of CFP? Will MLB Have Another Slow Off-Season? Plus, NBA & NHL Updates

Zooming through the sports landscape as I deliver (Episode 98) and all that happened this past week. Here’s what I got for you.

A lay of the NFL land through Week 10 as I discuss the Saints laying a huge egg at home, to the Falcons, no less. The Chiefs in Patrick Mahomes’s return lose to the Titans on the road. Lamar Jackson’s bid for MVP on the heels of a putrid NFL team in Cincinnati. The Steelers have come all the way back from an 0-3 start to put themselves in control of their own destiny for the AFC playoff race. Do the Browns have gas in the tank? Has the clock struck twelve for the Bills? I’ll have all of that for you, and then some, with a look ahead to Week 11.

LSU vs. Alabama was entertaining, but not the classic that people are making it out to be. I’ll recap the stars of this epic showdown, with the more important question. Will Alabama make the College Football Playoff this year?

The GM Meetings begin in Arizona today as the MLB Hot Stove will start to heat up. Could this be another slow off-season for the over 130 free agents to be making their way to new destinations?

I’ll also highlight the week that was on the ice (NHL) and on the hardwood (NBA)

Plus, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

MLB Homestretch (AL/NL Wild Card Update) Yanks Prepare For Playoffs, NFL WK 3 Storylines (Daniel Jones, Minkah To PIT, 3-0 vs. 0-3, NBA Envy for NFL Players?) NBA Tampering Measures

Autumn has arrived! With that, a new episode (#92) that's chock full of sports talk. On deck:

We’re down to the final week of the baseball season. I’ll recap what’s happening in both the AL/NL Wild Card races. Will there be a play in game for CLE/TB? What happened to the Cubs? Mets still alive…barely. Also, has Mickey Callaway saved his job for 2020? What about expectations for next year regarding the Amazins? Then there are the Yankees, as they  have clinched their first division in seven years. Upon their celebration, word came down that a key contributor will not be on the team come October. I'll discuss what affect that may have on the team and the roster as they complete the final week of the regular season. I’ll add in a CC Sabathia for the Hall of Fame debate in there as well.

NFL Week 3 was so-so, but there are a couple of storylines to sink your teeth into.  The Daniel Jones era is off to a resounding start with the Giants. How I compare this first game to, dare I say, Michael Jordan’s NCAA Championship win at North Carolina. I’ll explore the career of Eli Manning and whether or not he’s destined for Canton, OH at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I’ll discuss the big trade in Pittsburgh as Minkah Fitzpatrick comes north as a #1 pick for next year goes south to Miami. The 3-0 teams vs. the 0-3 teams. As well as, are NFL players adopting the 'NBA player empowerment' mentality as a way to get their demands met?

Speaking of the NBA, I’ll share my thoughts on the latest measures to stop tampering from running rampant throughout the league moving forward. Plus, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

The 'Not Too High or Too Low' Theme From NFL Week 1, Except? Steelers 'Not Ready For Primetime', Mets 'Not Ready For Postseason' Tirades, MLB Wild Card Latest, Rafa Wins, Serena Loses AGAIN at US Open

I'm in a feisty, awful sports mood, so hide the women and children, because Episode 90 promises to be full of smoke and fire. On deck:

In fourteen NFL cities this morning, either they're setting up the Super Bowl parade route or ready to draft for the number one pick. But there are two excpetions. I'll explain. I'll also go around the league and assess the damage up in Foxborough as the Steelers no showed vs. the Patriots.

The Mets have put their postseason hopes in the trash after a brutal loss in Washington and losing two out of three vs. Philadelphia. Mickey Callaway may have seen his managerial position go out the window with some very questionable moves this week. I have plenty of ammunition on this and I'll also recap the latest in the AL & NL Wild Card races.

Rafael Nadal has inched closer in his quest to catch Roger Federer for most Mens' Grand Slam titles. Serena Williams has now lost back to back Wimbledon and US Open Finals as she's stuck on 23 Grand Slam victories. Hear my take on both legendary figures and what may lie ahead in 2020 now that the Tennis Slams are done for the year.

Plus, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Episode 83 slides into August with cool, slick sports talk to offset the early dog days. On deck:

The Yankees will roller skate to their first division title in seven years. But a potential threat to not make a World Series looms large as we get deep into the season. I’ll explain why.

The Mets have inched closer to .500 and are three games back from a wild card spot in the NL. Is it starting to feel like this is 2015 all over again?

I'll get you up to speed on the pennant races in the AL & NL.

GS-HOU Round 2, Celtics Dominate, Isles Uphill Climb, Giants Draft Blunder, Yanks Rolling, Mets Pitching Woes. Plus, Hero & Zero of the Week

We’re on the verge of saying goodbye to an action packed sports month, but there’s still plenty to get into on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. Both the NBA & NHL have moved on to the Conference Semi-finals. We’ll start off with the NBA as the juicy second round match-ups (in particular, Houston-Golden State) is off to a wild start. I’ll get into the officiating in Game 1, what this could mean for the rest of series and who’ll come out on top and advance to the Conference Finals. I’ll get into the Celtics dominating GM 1 in Milwaukee, the Raptors win over the 76ers and the Nuggets prevailing over the Spurs as they prepare to face the Trail Blazers in Round 2. On the ice, the Islanders have dug themselves an 0-2 hole and now have to go on the road to play the Hurricanes and get back in this series. I’ll explain why this series is far from over, despite having the odds against them, as well as, surveying the rest of the Stanley Cup Playoff landscape with the other three series taking place.. The 2019 NFL Draft is officially in the books. I’ll discuss the Giants surprise first of three first round picks, all of the comings and goings of another wild weekend in Nashville and the latest surrounding Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill. The Yankees continue their hot streak out West as they’ve won six of seven in Anaheim and San Francisco. Should the Yankee fan expect this team to play stellar ball without their key guys in the lineup? I’ll have the answer to that, plus, what’s going on with Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard as the Mets pitching staff has underperformed here in the first month of the season. Lastly, I’m experimenting with a new close out segment at the very end of the pod called ‘The Hero and Zero of the Week’. It’s a jam packed sports podcast that you won’t want to miss as I’ll satiate your sports appetite and then some on the latest episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 67)

Nets On The Brink, Embiid's Clown Act, Celtics Sweep, NBA First Round Snooze. Islanders Waiting, NFL Draft Week, Yankees Surviving, Mets Stumbling

The best sports month of the year never disappoints as I’ll zip through the sports landscape in fast and furious fashion on this edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Brooklyn Nets have hung tough but have fallen short against the heavily favored Philadelphia 76ers. I’ll revisit their last three games, do they have a shot at bringing this series back to Brooklyn? And I must get into the antics of a one, Joel Embiid, whose postgame comments and in game behavior is starting to wear on me. This is one segment you won’t want to miss out on as I believe this will catch up to him in the long run. I’ll take a look back on how the Celtics had a rough go of it for a four game sweep vs. the Indiana Pacers and breeze through the rest of the NBA playoff brackets as there’s very little drama surrounding the first round of the tournament. The Islanders have secured their first four game sweep of a playoff series since they’ve won the Stanley Cup back in 1983. Up next, is either Washington or Carolina as they Capitals are currently up 3-2 in their series. Will the long layoff help or hurt the Islanders in the second round? I’ll have that, plus a more drama filled postseason on the ice than the hardwood as we have two, and a potential three, Game 7’s on the horizon. The NFL Draft is days away. Both the Jets and Giants have prominent roles as they respectively have the 3rd and 6th picks overall. What will they do? What should they do? I’ll deliver my take on who they should draft as we inch closer to the first round on Thursday. I’ll also share a bit on the upcoming NFL schedules of the locals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cleveland Browns and their FOUR primetime games and much more. The Yankees have suffered another key injury, this time to their best player, Aaron Judge, but the beat goes on as they win five of their last six at home as they embark on a West Coast trip. Will they continue to tread water? Fall deeper in the AL East standings? As for the Mets, they limp home losing four of five and six of ten on their ten game road trip. What are biggest problem for the Amazins’ early season failures? You’ll be surprised at who are some of the culprits as to the Mets stumbling over the past week. Are there reinforcements coming? You’ll definitely want to listen to what I have to say regarding these issues, and a whole lot more on this weeks episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 66)

March Madness Begins, NFL Free Agency Fallout, MLB Rule Changes, Clyde Frazier's Comments About LeBron

CORRECTION: During the March Madness segment of the podcast, I mentioned that Tennessee won the SEC Championship. It was Auburn. My apologies for the erroneous information.

Let the Madness begin as March starts to scorch the sports universe on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. Get your brackets ready because we’re going full throttle on the NCAA Tournament as I dissect the regions, who’ll be this years Cinderella and which four teams will represent in Minneapolis to play for the National Championship. The NFL offseason did not disappoint (unless you’re a fan of the football Giants). So much to dive into whether it’s the fallout of the Odell Beckham Jr. trade, the Browns already punching their ticket to the Super Bowl, Le’Veon Bell to the Jets and all of the craziness that ensued during this free agency period. Plus, what players are left standing as teams will now gear up for the NFL Draft. There are some rule changes coming to MLB, two of them happening in this coming year. I’ll deliver what they are and share my thoughts on whether or not it’s good for baseball. Also, will the Yankees not having P Luis Severino in their starting rotation be a major, minor or no problem at all? I’ll have all of that, including the latest in the NBA (Clyde Frazier’s comments about LeBron, playoff seeds in East & West), NHL (Islanders hanging on to first place) and much more on this weeks episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. I close out the final podcast of 2018 in grand style as we dive into the latest in the world of sports on this edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Jets have fired their coach, Todd Bowles. GM Mike McCagnan stays on board as he tries to build off the success of last years draft. Hear what I have to say about which direction the Jets should go to look for a head coach, as well as, my early thoughts on what the Giants need to do this offseason to get back to playoff contention in a loaded NFC. We’ll take a trip around the league in Week 17 on the games that mattered most, including the Steelers falling short of the postseason and what they need to do to get back there. I’ll preview all of the Wild Card Round match-ups, with thoughts about all of the participants in the first round, plus who will represent the AFC & NFC in the Super Bowl. The College Football National Championship is set. I’ll review the semifinal games where both Alabama and Clemson will meet for the third time in four years to see who’ll be crowned champion of the FBS. I’ll also touch on the latest MLB Hot Stove news, Dallas Stars CEO Jim Lites on his profane comments of his top two players, Enes Kanter’s tough guy act, LeBron James’s proclamation of being the G.O.A.T. and Golden State’s vulnerability of winning another title this year. What will lie under the Christmas tree as I deliver all of the shiny gifts, or possibly coal, on this festive edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. We’re down to the final weekend of the NFL regular season. Week 16 certainly took shape as far as playoff positioning in concerned. I’ll get right to it to dissect what happened in the AFC & NFC playoff picture, including a heartbreaking loss for the Pittsburgh Steelers in New Orleans. With the Black & Yellow on the outside looking in, what are their chances of making the postseason? Do they have a shot? I’ll shed some possible light on a dim and dire situation. Plus, the latest on the Jets (Sam Darnold trending up, Todd Bowles trending down) and Giants (Eli Manning’s 2019 return?) as they close out the string. I’ll take a look at the College Football Playoff Semifinal as to who’ll meet in the National Championship Game. All of the MLB Hot Stove news with the Mets, Yankees, the big Dodgers-Reds trade and what that could mean for Bryce Harper? Also, LeBron James’s recent comments on tampering, NFL owners and getting paid and James Dolan open to selling the Knicks? It’s a smorgasbord of sports chatter as we get ready for Santa’s arrival on this weeks episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 46)

NFL Week 15 Playoff Picture, Mets Upgrade Roster, NBA News

As we get closer to closing out 2018, the sports world continues to shine as we get into all of what it has to offer on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. NFL Week 15 surely didn’t mirror all of the excitement and drama as it did the week before, but you had thrilling finishes in Kansas City, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles which impacted playoff implications throughout the league. I’ll recap the meaningful games for teams jockeying for seeding and position in both conferences, including the Steelers slaying the Patriots dragon to keep their lead in the AFC North for another week. I’ll touch on the Jets and Giants as both teams suffer losses as they close out the string in this lost season. The Mets have added a catcher, but not the one that’s been rumored over the past few weeks. I’ll share my thoughts on who the Amazin’s brought in and what could possibly be their next move. I’ll get into a little NBA news and some other sports nuggets on this weeks episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 45)

As winter slowly approaches, the sports scene heats up as I’ll dissect all that’s going on with this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The final quarter of the NFL season has begun and it certainly did not disappoint. Wild finishes in Miami, Oakland and Kansas City were just the start of another wacky Sunday in the NFL. Also, the Jets and Giants were both victorious on the same day in almost two years, with big contributions from their respective first round picks, Sam Darnold and Saquon Barkley. I’ll get into that and everything that took place over the weekend in Week 14 across the league. A Heisman Trophy winner has been crowned in college football. Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray gets the nod, but not without controversy. I’ll reveal what the furor was over what the QB said, and what makes for an interesting matchup with fellow nominee, Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa in the college football playoff on December 29th. The MLB Winter Meetings commence in Las Vegas today. I’ll share what to possibly expect as we may see some big moves take place as the Hot Stove will be sure to cook up a lot of rumors over the next few days. I’ll recap the week that was in the league, including the Steelers dud in Denver, Seattle guts one out in Carolina and what that loss means for the Panthers with two matchups vs. the Saints in the weeks to come. Plus, Pat Shurmer’s ineptitude in the Giants loss at Philadelphia which officially ends their season and the Jets hanging tough, but it’s not enough as their losing streak reaches five games with a loss to the Patriots. It was a wild weekend in college football with Michigan being embarrassed by Ohio St., Notre Dame hangs on vs. USC and Texas A&M wins one for the ages in a seven OT shootout with LSU. But all eyes are looking ahead to Conference Championship weekend as to who’ll be the last four teams standing for the right to play in the FBS playoff come December 29th. You’ll hear my take on all of the scenarios of who’ll make it and who won’t to decide this college football season. I’ll also chime in on the Manny Machado to the Yankees rumor, the Knicks recent success, other NBA news, some NHL talk, including a GM fired down in Philadelphia and much more on Episode #40 of The JAYREELZ Podcast. NFL Bubble Teams After Week 11. Harbaugh's D-Day. NBA News. Miguel Andujar Robbed of AL ROY

As we head into Thanksgiving Week, there are plenty of football dishes to be served up as I’ll place them all around the sports table on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. It was another wacky, zany week in the NFL as we saw some separation between the pretenders and contenders. Teams that were already on the bubble (i.e. PHI, ATL, GB, JAX, even WSH, perhaps?) have put their seasons on the brink. Get my take on all that happened in Week 11, with a look to the Thanksgiving games and Week 12, plus, are the Saints/Rams and Chiefs shoo-ins for the Super Bowl? The College Football season is slowly coming to an end, but not before the highly anticipated matchup between Michigan vs. Ohio State. How big of a game is this for UM coach, Jim Harbaugh? What does this mean for his coaching legacy at Ann Arbor? I’ll dig in to that, and, get into what’s happening with the Golden State Warriors? Is Carmelo Anthony’s NBA career done? And why Miguel Andujar was robbed of the AL Rookie of the Year? It’s a sports feast that you won’t want to miss on the latest episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 40)

We cap off an exciting October of sports and crown a baseball champion on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Boston Red Sox have won their fourth World Series title since 2004. I’ll delve into what it took for them to reach the MLB mountaintop and also dissect where it all went wrong for the Dodgers as they lose their second consecutive Fall Classic at home. I’ll also deep dive into what it must feel like for the Yankee fan the day after and where the rivalry next year could be headed between the two organizations. Plus, my thoughts on the Mets new GM, Brodie Van Wagenen and whether or not they made the right choice to take this team to the next level. I’ll recap all of Week 8 in the NFL, including the end of the 2018 Giants at the halfway point, with the Jets not that far behind. And insight on the debacle in Jacksonville, the Rams halfway to a perfect regular season and when Le’Veon Bell may come back to play with the Steelers. Don’t forget the week that was, and upcoming in college football, the NHL and what’s with all of these high scoring games in the NBA? Jets/Giants/NFL Week 6, 2018 NY Yankees (RIP)/MLB Playoffs, College Football, NHL

The ides of October is delivering some thrilling sports action as I break it all down for you on the latest episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Jets and Sam Darnold continue to impress as they’ve made it to .500 on the season with a win over Indianapolis. Meanwhile on the other side of the building, the hopes for this Giants season has gone down the drain as they suffer their fifth loss in six games at the hands of the Eagles. Hear my takes on both teams, as well as, recapping all that went down in Week 6 of the NFL, including the Steelers last second win in Cincinnati, the Jaguars D rocked in Dallas and the only remaining undefeated team in the league. The Yankees say goodbye to the 2018 season as they lose in four games to the Red Sox. What will it take for the Yanks to get over the hump? What changes can they expect? Will they focus on a starting pitcher? Or the rumors of Manny Machado will start to echo throughout baseball? Lots of answers that I’ll try to unpack, plus my thoughts on the AL & NLCS to date. I’ll also recap a topsy-turvy Week 7 in college football. A word on the first couple of weeks in the NHL. What about the NBA? Some news about the next podcast that has to do with the Association and much more, on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 34)

Yanks/MLB Playoffs, Jets/Giants/NFL Week 5, College Football, NHL, MMA

A busy sports October is in full swing. I’m here to dissect it all on this weeks edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. The Yankees have taken the momentum of the ALDS and the home field advantage versus their adversaries in Boston. I’ll point out what it’ll take to have the Bombers not go back to Beantown for a Game 5 and what needs to be done if you’re the Red Sox to extend the series to advance to the ALCS. Not to mention, a brief thought on the fans that invade the Stadium and the influence (good and bad) that they have during these playoff games. Plus, the rest of the MLB playoff landscape. The Jets get back in the win column as they punished the Denver Broncos on the ground, while the Giants leave Carolina in heartbreak as they lose on a last second 63 yard field goal. There’s lot to discuss about this Giant team, including Odell Beckham’s comments about the G-Men and a word on why the Giants need to push the offense to bigger heights, similar to what they did in yesterdays’ game. I’ll put a cap on Week 5 of the NFL with a look to Week 6. Plus, the latest in college football, the NHL ‘code’ (i.e. fighting, sending a message and discipline of their players in regards to what happened in the preseason.) and a brief mention of the MMA fight on Saturday and the aftermath of the Conor McGregor match. All of that, and then some on this weeks episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 33)
