Jaguars Gag. Bills Take AFC East Flag. Eagles Lag & Juicy Wild Card Storylines. Harbaugh's Last Hurrah At Michigan? Nat'l Champ Preview. Draymond's Return. Big Loss In NHL. No Nadal Down Under

Even with winter in full effect (depending on where you live), the sports world has plenty of heat as I'm happy to provide all of my analysis and opinions on all that's happening in the toy department of life. On deck:

(3:00) The NFL regular season has concluded. It was a wild Week 18 as there were teams that were looking for a playoff spot, playoff positioning or winning a division altogether. The Houston Texans eked out a close win in Indianapolis to not only secure a playoff spot, but win the AFC South. That is because of the untimely collapse of the Jacksonville Jaguars, who lost in Tennessee to not only blow the division, but miss out on the playoffs altogether. With that, the Pittsburgh Steelers get into the tournament with their win in Baltimore. Then you had the Buccaneers win the NFC South after a ho-hum win in Carolina, which left the Saints and Falcons on the outside looking in. In the final game of the year, the Buffalo Bills took what was theirs (another AFC East title) after beating the Miami Dolphins in South Florida. A complete recap of what took place. The top three storylines of the Wild Card round (i.e. Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions) the six matchups this weekend and who's out as coach on Black Monday as there have been a couple of firings in Atlanta & Washington already. And, oh yes, my final tally of my over/under win totals of 2023, which came to a screeching halt yesterday afternoon.

(39:56) A national champion will be crowned tonight in college football tonight as Michigan-Washington will square off in Houston. Is this going to be the last time we see coach Jim Harbaugh on the Wolverines sideline? I'll have a preview of what to possibly expect as we'll have our first title game of the new year.

(45:21) The Association has been rather quiet, but there's a big return by the Bay as Draymond Green will come back from his 12 game suspension? Will he be on his best behavior moving forward? In the process, they'll also miss Chris Paul as he needs surgery for an injured left hand.

(51:17) On the ice, the NHL takes a huge hit as #1 overall pick, Connor Bedard, will be out of the lineup for the Blackhawks due to a broken jaw he suffered in New Jersey on Friday night. There was an enormous milestone reached by Minnesota Wild goaltender, Marc-Andre Fleury. Not only did he recently play in his 1,000th game, but he tied legendary goalie Patrick Roy for second all time with 551 wins. Is Fleury a first ballot, lock down Hall of Famer?

(58:08) With the Australian Open commencing next week, they'll be without Rafael Nadal. He was on the mend and ready for a comeback but had to withdraw from the first Grand Slam tournament of the year with a hip injury. How much of a blow this will be for the sport?

(1:00:32) In baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers are at it again as they sign OF Teoscar Hernandez to a 1 year deal. Has the pressure ratcheted up as they continue to reload an already loaded team?

Resting Lamar, AFC/NFC South, Bills Do Or Die In Miami Headlines Week 18. Michigan/Washington Hang On To Meet For Title. OKC Has Arrived? Lakers Regressing? Auston Matthews For MVP?

Back to close out the first week of the year with lots to uncover on all of the latest and greatest in the world of sports. On deck:

(2:50) We've just about reached the final hurdle of the NFL season. Week 18 begins on Saturday as teams are looking to punch their ticket to the playoffs. I'll keep you up to date on who's set, who controls their destiny, who needs help, anything and everything that you need to know about what to expect this upcoming weekend. I'll get into a few of the major storylines (Ravens resting Lamar Jackson, AFC/NFC South division up for grabs, Bills win or go home in Miami?) as we wrap up this sprint of the past four months and gear up for a highly anticipated postseason.

(24:32) The National Championship in college football is set. Michigan slayed the semifinal beast in eking out a win against Alabama, while Washington hung on at the end to beat Texas. I'll review both games and have an early look at the title game on Monday night. I'm a few days late, but I'll spend two minutes on the embarrassment that Florida State put forth in the Orange Bowl loss vs. Georgia.

(36:44) Are the Oklahoma City Thunder ready to take that next step and be a contender in the West? Even if they're a year or two early? What about the Lakers? They're going in the opposite direction as they've lost 8 of 10 and have been relatively healthy this year. At 17-18, are there any concerns about the short and maybe long term future of this team? I'll check on whatever else is happening throughout the Association as we get closer to the midway point of the season.

(47:07) Maple Leafs sniper, Auston Matthews is having an MVP caliber year as he scored his 30th goal in 35 games with the OT winner last night in Anaheim. Is he the frontrunner as the league's best player to date? I'll take a trip around the ice as I'll peek at who's been hot (Oilers, Hurricanes & Kraken) and who's not (Wild) at this juncture.

(51:36) The power is still down on the MLB Hot Stove as we’re waiting for some of the game’s best players (i.e. Blake Snell, Cody Bellinger, Matt Chapman, etc.) to sign on the dotted line. The Red Sox inking pitcher Lucas Giolito for two years doesn’t cut it.

Raven Domination, But Beware! Controversy In Dallas. Are The Eagles Done? Michigan Pressure/Washington High Flying Offense In CF Playoff. Pistons Halt Record Streak. Braves Gamble On Sale

It's a NEW YEAR! There's lots of promise, excitement and a renewed sense of faith as yours truly has big plans for the upcoming year when it comes to the podcast, as I deliver the very first one on the first day of 2024. On deck:

(3:03) A new year has arrived as I'm excited about where the podcast is going and what it will have to offer in 2024. You'll have to keep your fingers on the pulse and stay tuned to find out what to expect here as I've got a lot coming up the pike, especially during this first quarter of the year. So you won't want to miss out on this news.

(5:13) With just one week to go in the regular season, the Baltimore Ravens are showing the rest of the NFL that they could be the team to beat when it's all said and done. They destroyed the Miami Dolphins in a 56-19 drubbing yesterday at home. Is this team on the fast track to winning a Super Bowl? On the flip side, I'll discuss how the Dolphins have fallen pretty far from being a top team in the league, but now have to fight tooth and nail to win a division come Sunday vs. the Bills. There was some big time controversy in Dallas on Saturday night as it looked like the Lions were going to walk out of AT&T Stadium with a big road win. Instead, a terrible call by the officials on the winning two-point conversion ended up being incomplete after a few tries as the Cowboys sweat out a one point win. What has happened to the Philadelphia Eagles? They were defeated by the Arizona Cardinals in what turned out to be a death knell for the Eagles. Can they rebound in time to have a long playoff run? I'll discuss my beloved Steelers chances to see if they can get one of the final playoff spots in the AFC. I'll go over all that went down in Week 17, unpack all of the playoff possibilities as we head into the final weekend of the NFL regular season.

(42:32) College football will have their last four game playoff as Alabama will face Michigan in the first game, where the nightcap will see Texas-Washington square off. I'll preview both games and who may possibly meet in the National Championship next Monday night in Houston.

(49:26) Break up the Detroit Pistons. They finally break a lengthy 28 game losing streak against the Raptors on Saturday night. Is it possible that they can avoid the worst NBA record during an 82 game regular season in history? There was a surprise trade as the Knicks & Raptors exchanged players with OG Anunoby going to NY and RJ Barrett & Immanuel Quickley moving North of the Border. I'll take a peek on what else has transpired in the Association over the weekend.

(56:22) Every January 1st, the NHL showcases the Winter Classic which'll be played in Seattle with the Vegas Golden Knights coming to T-Mobile Park. Is there a lot of interest from the casual or good sports fan? The Rangers have been hot in the Metropolitan Division as they're the first team to get to 50 points so far this season.

(58:12) The Atlanta Braves continue to procure talent this offseason, doing their best to keep pace with what the Dodgers have done to this point. They've acquired former Red Sox ace Chris Sale for INF Vaughn Grissom. Is this a huge risk with the oft-injured Sale over the past few years?

Dolphins Enormous Test In Baltimore. Russell Wilson Era Over In Denver? Early Preview Of College Football Playoff. Historically Bad Pistons Could Get Worse? NHL Winter Classic: Does Anyone Care?

Wrapping up another year of the podcast as I present the final episode of 2023 with all that's happening in sports. On deck:

(3:03) I have to start off with saying THANK YOU to those who've listened, followed and supported me over the past year and beyond. 2024 will be an epic one! That's a promise!

(3:53) With Monday being the first of the year, I'll produce and post a podcast as of right this moment. Stay tuned to my YouTube channel (link below) for any scheduling changes.

(4:39) This is an enormous week if you're the Miami Dolphins. They pay a visit to Baltimore in what will be a battle for the top seed in the AFC. Can the Dolphins finally get the respect and win a big road game? There's an interesting development that took place in Denver with the benching of Russell Wilson. Is this the last time we'll see the former Super Bowl winning QB in a Broncos uniform? I'll get into the other key matchups, what to look forward to in Week 17 as we're just ten days away from the conclusion of the regular season.

(29:50) The College Football Playoff is on the horizon. I'll delve into the top storylines heading into the doubleheader with Michigan-Arizona being the first game, followed by Texas-Washington in the nightcap. How much pressure is on the Wolverines to finally get to a championship game? Is Alabama playing with house money? Will Washington-Texas be a high scoring shootout?

(36:19) In the Association, the Detroit Pistons made history. They broke the all time losing streak of 26 games with a loss to Brooklyn on Tuesday night. Is it possible that they could break the all time record (9-73) by the 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers? I'll see what else is going on throughout the NBA as we're still a few weeks away from the halfway point of the season.

(43:28) The NHL will have their day in the sun as they'll have their annual Winter Classic in Seattle on January 1st. Will anyone watch? Does anyone care? Plus, there was a Stanley Cup Final rematch last Saturday between the Vegas Golden Knights-Florida Panthers. Why didn't the league showcase or highlight this game? I'll have that and anything else that's happening on the ice.

(49:05) MLB has had a rather ice cold offseason (despite the Juan Soto trade to the Yankees and the Dodgers signing of Shohei Ohtani & Yoshinobu Yamamoto) There have been a few transactions over the past few days (including the Yankees trading another young, promising prospect), but little to no news about top free agents Blake Snell, Cody Bellinger and Jordan Montgomery, to name a few.

SEC Bias Tops FLA State's Perfection As Committee Selects Alabama For Playoffs. 49ers Flex Muscle, Crowded AFC Playoff Picture. NBA Cup Week Buzz? Braves Continue Retool As Winter Meetings Begin

December is in full bloom as so is the latest podcast as I have plenty to unpack after a wild few days in the world of sports. On deck:

(2:42) The semifinals in college football are set, but not without some controversy. Alabama played an excellent game vs. two time defending champ, riding a 29 game winning streak to beat Georgia in the SEC Championship Game. It paved the way for the committee to have them leapfrog over an undefeated Florida State team and into the college football playoff as they chose an SEC powerhouse, opposed to an unbeaten Seminole squad looking to get back to prominence in the sport. I'll dissect this whole scenario from soup to nuts, have an early preview of the matchups between Alabama-Michigan & Texas-Washington as the bowl season will be upon us in the next week and a half.

(19:50) A colossal confrontation in Philadelphia yesterday was anything but that. The San Francisco 49ers showed the NFC and the rest of the league they mean business as they took the Eagles to the back of the woodshed in a 42-19 win. Are they the NFL's best? I have to throw some cold water on that as I've explained this in past podcasts, but has to be reiterated as to as good of a team they are, they are far from perfect. I'll get into what's becoming a muddled AFC playoff picture from top to bottom as the Chiefs slip in the conference, the Dolphins move to the top and before the night is done, Jacksonville push Miami out of the way as a #1 seed. An awful Steelers performance against a 2-10 Arizona Cardinals team, with a short week and a Thursday night date with a team even WORSE in the New England Patriots. You know I'm not a happy camper and have a ton to say about this. I'll peek at an up to the second review of the NFC, all that transpired on the schedule as we're on the cusp of the final four games of the regular season. NOTE: I stated that the coach of the Indianapolis Colts is Scott Steichen, it's Shane Steichen. My apologies for the error.

(47:52) Are you ready for the first ever NBA Cup? The quarterfinals begin tonight as there'll be four games tonight, four tomorrow, the semifinals on Thursday, culminating in the championship game on Saturday night. I'll bluntly state what the Association is hoping, PRAYING for, when it comes who they'd love to see in the final? Plus, Kevin Durant reaches lofty status when it comes to scoring all time in league history. Luka Doncic's monster effort after the birth of his first child (with a 30-0 run in the middle of it), but LOST! And anything else happening as I'll see what the rest of the league is doing in the midst of this in-season tournament.

(56:54) A couple of key injuries highlight what's going on in the NHL. The Devils lose one of their top defenseman (Dougie Hamilton) for an extended period of time. Same for the Avalanche's Cale Makar, although the extent of how long he'll be out in unknown at this time. And give it up to Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry who made history when he scored a goal the other night vs. Tampa Bay. I'll check what else is happening on the ice as they're past the quarter pole of their season.

(59:53) The Winter Meetings has commenced in Nashville when it comes to the MLB Hot Stove. The Atlanta Braves continue their low key, but effective off-season doing their best to retool a team that's already stacked. They acquired former Mets prospect and Seattle Mariner OF Jarred Kelenic in a deal involving prospects. The Milwaukee Brewers have put all of their chips in the basket of their 19 year old CF Jackson Chourio before he's played a game in the majors with an eight year/82 million dollar deal. Will the next couple of days deliver a deal for Shohei Ohtani? Yoshinobu Yamamoto? What about a team inquiring about Juan Soto? Or Pete Alonso? You know I'll have my fingers on the pulse when it comes to some wheeling and dealing in baseball.

Top Storylines (Purdy/Dak) & Predictions For A 'Not So Wild' Card NFL Weekend? Georgia Drubs TCU. Curry's Return Means Warriors Success? Carlos Correa Saga Finally Ends...Back With Twins!

Back on my mid-week podcast grind as I bring the pain on all that's going on throughout the sports landscape. On deck:

(2:35) NFL fans rejoice as Wild Card Weekend is upon us. I'll delve into every nook and cranny with what will take place as the playoffs get underway. I'll have all of the top storylines (i.e. rematches from the regular season, Brock Purdy, Dak Prescott/Cowboys, and much more) heading into this round, predictions as to who'll move onto the Divisional Round and why we may have to wait until Monday night to have an exciting game to watch from start to finish? I'll also get into the two coaches who were fired this week. Texans Lovie Smith and Cardinals Kliff Kingsbury have been shown the door. What can we possibly expect from both franchises as they head into the offseason with plenty on their collective plates?

(33:32) The Georgia Bulldogs showed why they're the best team in college football, drubbing TCU 65-7 in the National Championship Game. Sadly, former USC tailback & Heisman Trophy winner, Charles White, passed away at the age of 78.

(38:49) Kevin Durant will be on the shelf for a month when he suffered a knee injury in Miami on Sunday. How will the Nets fare without their MVP candidate? Donovan Mitchell made his first trip as a visitor to Utah, dropping 46 points in a loss. How was the reception from the home crowd upon his return? Speaking of which, Steph Curry is back in the lineup after a long absence due to a shoulder injury. Are the Warriors primed to make a run in the West? How about the Heat's perfection at the free throw line (40-40) vs. OKC as they eked out a win vs. the Thunder. I'll get a handle on all that's happening in the Association, especially some separation out West with the top eight seeds in the conference for the first time all year.

(45:28) The NHL is a week and change away from their All-Star Break. Not a lot to report as we're at the halfway point of the season.

(48:15) The Carlos Correa Soap Opera has FINALLY concluded. He re-signs with the Twins as we can put this saga to bed. Was this a good deal, considering he had THREE OTHER DEALS on the table, but settled for this one? And where do the Mets go to try to add and put them over the top? What in the world is going on with Red Sox INF Trevor Story? He'll need Tommy John surgery to repair his UCL in his throwing arm. Why did he wait too long to have this procedure now that he'll be out to the All-Star Break?

NFL Playoff Rule Blunders, Week 18 Recap & Early Wild Card Vibes. TCU's Chances Of Another Upset? KD's Knee, Clips/Suns Skidding. Bauer's Next Stop? Alcaraz Out Down Under. Dana White Comes Clean

It's a playoff/championship feel as the latest edition has arrived with plenty of pro and college football, sprinkled in with other sports to whet your appetite. On deck:

(2:58) There was a quite a bit of activity in the NFL over the past few days. For starters, I'll get into the progress of the health regarding Bills safety, Damar Hamlin, as things continue to look brighter as the days pass on. I'll discuss the league's plan of this postseason (i.e. not resuming the Bills-Bengals regular season game, an AFC Championship Game potentially being at a neutral site, not forgoing the bye week between the Conference Title Games and the Super Bowl, Media Day at the Super Bowl, the regular season being too long) as I get on my soapbox sharing my deepest thoughts on the above. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! Of course, I'll cap off Week 18 with my winners (i.e. Jacksonville & Miami) and losers (i.e. Las Vegas & Green Bay) and some of the other matchups that had playoff implications (including my beloved Steelers who fell short). Plus, a couple of storylines of what to look forward to on Wild Card Weekend.

(41:21) A National Champion will be crowned in college football tonight as TCU tries to pull off another upset as they face the defending champs in Georgia. Do they have a shot? Are they able to compete straight up without getting the breaks they did in the previous game against Michigan? Will Georgia's close call vs. Ohio State be the catalyst for playing a lot crisper this time around? I'll predict what may take place as the college football season comes to a close.

(49:01) The Nets are holding their collective breaths as Kevin Durant went down with a knee injury that needs an MRI. How long will he be out? The Clippers and Suns have been skidding out West mired in big losing streaks as they're hovering around the play in bracket as far as seeding is concerned.

(52:55) The Capitals get back a couple of reinforcements from within as Nicklas Backstrom and Tom Wilson are back in the lineup for the first time all year. Jack Eichel makes a return to the Golden Knights after missing some time with a lower body injury. The Hurricanes have been relegated to a slight breeze as they've now lost three in a row after an eleven game winning streak. And the Bruins remain on fire as they're on a historic pace of wins and points this season.

(55:54) As for the MLB, Trevor Bauer has been released by the Dodgers last week. Where does he end up? Will a GM take a flyer on the former Cy Young Award winner?

(59:08) The first Grand Slam of the tennis season begins next week at the Australian Open, but it'll be without one of its biggest players as Carlos Alcaraz has to withdraw with a leg injury. Also, not in your scorecard will be Naomi Osaka, Simona Halep and Venus Williams. As for Alcaraz, are his injuries something will have to keep an eye on as he becomes the next great champion in the sport?

(1:01:37) UFC president, Dana White, recently admitted and apologized for an incident in a Mexico club with his wife as they engaged in a physical altercation. He was contrite, exhibited ownership and accountability for his actions, which were indefensible. Is there a possible punishment for his in the near future?

TCU Toughness, Georgia Resiliency Prevails In College Football Playoff. 49ers: Possible #1 Seed? Steelers Alive As Week 17 Closes. LBJ's Productive Birthday! Pitchers & Catchers Already? RIP Pele

The holidays are behind us, but the New Year continues to deliver more action packed, fast paced sports talk like no other. On deck:

(4:12) College football hit a grand slam on Saturday (and is arguably the third most popular sport in the country). Even with the excitement and drama of the semifinal matchups, these games are WAY TOO LONG as I'll explain. TCU got the breaks they needed and their defense put up a big stop at the end as Michigan fails to get to the Championship Game for the second year in a row. Ohio State was valiant, but Georgia showed their resiliency and mettle as they rose to the occasion, coming from behind to beat the Buckeyes as their last second field goal attempt went wide left. I'll break it all down with a look ahead to some thoughts on next Monday's title game in Los Angeles.

(23:39) There were a couple of twists and turns in the NFL this week as seeding has changed in some spots. I'll discuss the winners (i.e. 49ers, Steelers) and losers (i.e. Panthers, Vikings), a huge Monday night game that could determine who could end up with the top seed in the conference. The possibilities of the Niners getting the #1 seed in the NFC. Also, what's happening at the bottom of the AFC/NFC playoff bracket as we're closing in on the final week of the season.

(50:23) LeBron James records 47 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists on his 38th birthday, no less! Why are some people still not putting respect on this man's name?

(52:18) Alexander Ovechkin continues to rack up goals (and hat tricks) as the Capitals...and Hurricanes stay hot in the NHL.

(54:04) Don't look now, but in six weeks, pitchers and catchers will report in Arizona and Florida for spring training in MLB.

(54:53) Another sports legend has passed as world renowned soccer player, Pele, passed away last week at the age of 82.

Wentz Starts, Hackett/Carr/JJ Watt Departs As NFL Week 17 Arrives. Can TCU Play Cinderella? Don't Look Now: NBA's Hottest Team. NHL's Caps/Canes Streaking. Latest On Carlos Correa In Final Pod Of 2022

Closing out the year in grand style as I deliver the final podcast of 2022. Make sure you get your sports fix right here as this is what's on deck:

(3:25) There were a lot of interesting developments over the past few days in the NFL leading up to the final Sunday of 2022. Carson Wentz has been inserted as the starter again in Washington with destiny in their hands for the postseason. Will he be able to push the Commanders into the NFC playoffs? Nathaniel Hackett was fired after the Christmas debacle in LA vs. the Rams. No surprise there as he was awful from day one. Derek Carr has been benched by Raiders coach, Josh McDaniels for the remainder of the season. Is this the end for the Vegas quarterback? JJ Watt will retire at season's end from the NFL. A future Hall of Famer? Yes. An automatic top defensive lineman of all time? Hmmm. I'll go through the intriguing matchup of the weekend (i.e. Miami-New England, Carolina-Tampa Bay, Minnesota-Green Bay, among a few others) and share some thoughts on what could take place as we're ten days away from the end of another NFL season. Dreadfully, I'll go through my over/under win totals for the year, which wasn't anything to write home about. In fact, one of my picks was an embarrassment!

(28:39) We finally get to the College Football Playoff, which will kick off on Saturday. Does TCU have a shot to upset Michigan? Is this Michigan's year, based on their semifinal loss last year? Can the Georgia machine be slowed down? What about Ohio State and their chances to dethrone the defending champions? I'll preview both games, what to possibly expect and predict who'll play for the National Championship Monday, January 9th?

(38:59) Don't look now, but the Brooklyn Nets are the hottest team in the NBA. Kevin Durant is playing at an MVP level. Kyrie Irving has been huge in some fourth quarters lately. They've been healthy recently. Is this the team that we've come to expect to being close to or at the top of the Association? There were a couple of big time blown leads over the past few nights. The Clippers came back and won, trailing by 14 with three minutes to go in Detroit. And the Mavericks had to overcome a nine point deficit with 33 seconds to go on the back of Luka Doncic's historic triple double (60 pts., 21 rebounds, 10 assists). Devin Booker is out of the lineup for at least four weeks with a groin strain as the Suns try to tread water without their All-Star guard.

(49:09) The Bruins continue their torrid play on the ice. They're on pace for 60 wins and 130 points as they disposed the Devils last night. But the Hurricanes are also hot, winners of nine straight. And the Capitals have also gotten in a little groove in the Metropolitan Division as they've been streaking on the road (six in a row) and have won 10 of 11 overall.

(52:16) What is the latest with Carlos Correa officially becoming a New York Met? I have some thoughts on when we can possibly get some closure on this. Plus a couple of signings (Nathan Eovaldi, Corey Kluber) and the Braves sign Sean Murphy which reinforces how Atlanta is building their team...the right way!

(56:34) I send a shout out to YOU! I thank you all for supporting and following me throughout the past year. It goes without saying, how important your participation is and will be moving forward. I greatly and sincerely appreciate it.

NFL Week 15 Kicks Off Homestretch. Celtics-Lakers Renew Rivalry! Appreciating Ovechkin's 800th Goal Milestone. Giants Bank On Correa Being 'The Man'. Messi's Shot At Immortality In World Cup Final

I'll be making my sports list, checking it twice and try to find out who's naughty or nice as the latest podcast has plenty of early Christmas cheer and jeer. On deck:

(3:27) We're down to the final four weeks of the NFL season. I'll go in on the schedule for Week 15, starting off with Seattle hosting San Francisco in a big game for the Seahawks. Three games on Saturday, highlighted by Miami in Buffalo. Sunday's slate is ok, not spectacular as Dallas is in Jacksonville, Tennessee visits the Chargers and what's left of Tampa Bay hosts Cincinnati. There were a couple of transactions with teams on the verge of making deep playoff runs as I'll break down Cole Beasley back in Buffalo and T.Y. Hilton signing with Dallas.

(21:25) I'll spend a minute remembering Mississippi St. coach, Mike Leach as he passed away due to heart failure at the age of 61.

(22:49) The Celtics and Lakers renewed their rivalry for the first time this year, with a thrilling win in OT for the C's as I take a little trip down memory lane to a couple of other regular season classic games between the two teams. I'll get into what's happening throughout the Association, including Steph Curry's shoulder injury. And a possible changing of the guard at the top of the Western Conference?

(32:14) Capitals winger, Alexander Ovechkin reached a milestone only two other players have ever accomplished in the 100 plus year history of the NHL, as he had a hat trick to score 800 goals in his illustious career. Why he should be appreciated and celebrated for this achievement? Plus, all that's happening on the ice over the past few days.

(39:43) Carlos Correa signs the fourth largest contract in MLB history as he becomes a member of the San Francisco Giants. I'll tell you why he's not worth it? There was a shrewd trade made by the Braves bringing in Sean Murphy from Oakland. Why that could turn out to be another great move by a well run organization in Atlanta. Former Mets Chris Bassitt (inks a three year deal with Toronto) and Adam Ottavino (still a free agent) as we get deeper into the offseason.

(50:35) And then there are two. Argentina will play defending World Cup champion France for the 2022 World Cup Title. I'll recap the semifinal round, leading up to the finale come Sunday. What this match means for Argentina's Lionel Messi? I'll share who I'm rooting for and have my fingers crossed that the game DOES NOT come down to penalty kicks!

Separating Pretenders & Contenders In NFL Homestretch. Mets Expensive Payroll: Good Or Bad? Suns-Pelicans Rivalry Worthy? Letang Back As Penguins Roll. Griner Comes Home! World Cup Semis Preview

With winter officially eight days away, the sports world perpetually keeps us warm and toasty as another podcast kicks off your week with plenty to delve into. On deck:

(2:57) NFL Week 14 didn't pack a lot of intrigue or suspense, but there has been some movement as teams try to make a run to the postseason, where others are flailing as they try to hang on for their dear lives. I'll go through my winners (i.e. Lions & Chargers) and losers (i.e. Raiders & Seahawks) I'll recap where we're at as we're approaching the final quarter of the season as certain teams in the AFC (Dolphins, Chargers, Jets, Patriots) and NFC (Giants, Commanders, Seahawks, even Lions) do their best to make a push to get to January playing in meaningful games.

(31:12) Army wins in the first ever OT game vs. rival Navy to where the Midshipmen fired their head coach. USC QB, Caleb Williams is your Heisman Trophy Winner. Now it's onto the Bowls, but I'll explain why I won't go full bore on the entire schedule and just focus on the College Football Playoff?

(33:22) The MLB Hot Stove has cooled off a little bit since the craziness at the Winter Meetings last week. But don't say that to Mets owner, Steve Cohen. He's continued to add to his already exorbitant payroll, re-signing OF Brandon Nimmo to an eight year, $162 million dollar contract. They've also agreed to sign the best Japanese pitcher out there in Kodai Senga to a five year, $75 million dollar deal. Is this what the Met fan (like myself) has been waiting for? Spending in free agency for a better shot at winning that elusive World Series? Or have they sold their souls to the devil that could end up a lot worse than the fan could ever expect?

(43:21) Is there a budding rivalry taking place in the NBA? The Suns and Pelicans played two back to back, hard fought competitive games that the Pels won. In the first game, it led to a fracas as Zion Williamson added a thunderous 360 slam dunk before the buzzer when the game was already over. There is one more matchup this season later in the month, so we shall see. The Warriors had their most complete game in an NBA Finals rematch against the Celtics. And sad news as longtime NBA player and coach, Paul Silas, passed away at the age of 73.

(47:45) As for what's happening on the ice, Kris Letang returns to the Penguins lineup, just twelve days after suffering his second stroke. The Pens are on a hot streak going 13-2-2 over the past 17 games. Alexander Ovechkin is now up to 797 goals, but the last four of them, have been empty netters. They do count, but some people feels they're cheapies. Are they right?

(50:22) Brittney Griner has finally made it to US soil late last week. It's been polarizing for a lot of citizens in this country regarding her exchange with the Merchant of Death, Viktor Bout and not have US Marine, Paul Whelan tag along with her. Will Griner be a catalyst, as she has stated, in doing her best to bring Whelan back home?

(54:31) We're now down to the Final Four in the World Cup as it's Morocco-France & Argentina-Croatia. Will the Cinderella Morocco team be able to get to a Final? Can France make it two in a row? And have a rematch against Croatia in the Final?

MLB Free Agent Frenzy: Judge/Yanks Remarry, Bogaerts Bolts To SD & More. Von Miller's Loss In Buffalo, OBJ: A Healthy Fit Where? Pelicans #1 In West? World Cup Final Four To Die For!

A wild and busy few days in the sports world culminates in a fast and furious podcast that’ll get the attention of the casual and diehard fans alike. On deck:

(3:30) MLB had a week to remember as plenty of teams were wheeling and dealing as the Winter Meetings conclude today in San Diego. Of course, the big story was Aaron Judge re-signing with the Yankees on a nine year/$360 million dollar deal. Did the Bronx Bombers overpay to keep their MVP in pinstripes? Not only that, how does the rest of the roster shape up as they try to get back to a World Series for the first time since 2009? The Padres made another splash acquisition signing former Red Sox SS Xander Bogaerts to an eleven year/$280 million dollar contract. Are the Padres out of control? What about the Red Sox? What do they do to pick up the pieces losing another core homegrown member of their team? I'll also discuss Justin Verlander, Trea Turner among many others that were signed this week throughout the sport.

(26:59) As NFL Week 14 is on the horizon, two intriguing storylines surfaced throughout the league. One, Bills LB Von Miller has been diagnosed with a torn ACL injury as he'll be out for the remainder of the season. How will this impact Buffalo's chances to get to a Super Bowl? Free agent WR Odell Beckham Jr, who has been in the news as he's made visits to New York (Giants), Dallas and Buffalo. But Cowboys owner Jerry Jones stressed that OBJ won't help in the short term because he doesn't look to be 100% healthy. What does this mean for Beckham as he tries to latch onto a team before the season is over? Also, would he have been a good fit in Dallas? Buffalo? Or back in NY? I'll look at the schedule this Sunday as we inch closer to the conclusion of the regular season.

(40:37) As the NBA passes the quarter mark of the year, a surprise is at the top of the Western Conference. No. It’s not the Lakers, the Warriors, the Suns or the Clippers as the current #1 seed. It’s the New Orleans Pelicans! Is it too early to think that they’ve arrived? The Celtics continue to roll throughout the Association as they have a Finals rematch awaiting vs. Golden State on Saturday. I’ll deliver all of the latest with what’s happening in the league.

(47:41) The NHL skates on into December as Alexander Ovechkin is five goals away from 800. Sabres forward, Tage Thompson scores five goals in a win last night vs. Columbus. Is Rangers coach, Gerard Gallant on the hot seat as the Blueshirts have underachieved to this point? The Penguins have played a lot better in the Metropolitan Division as they moved up considerably in the standings. And Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon will be out of the lineup for four weeks as the defending champs will not have their franchise player for some time.

(51:54) The World Cup will have its quarterfinals tomorrow and Saturday as we’re ten days away from the championship match. What will be the most fascinating semifinal/Final Four matchup?

(55:50) I have to pay respects to a legendary boxing referee as Mills Lane passed away at the age of 85.

Ravens/Niners Suffer QB Injuries Critical To Playoff Race, TCU Belongs In The CFP. PrimeTime Moves To Colorado! deGrom Signs With Texas. Mets: Your Move! USA Bows Out Of World Cup

As winter approaches, the sports scene always stays hot as I bring to you the latest episode with all that's going on in the sports universe. On deck:

(3:25) After briefly discussing Anthony Davis's 55 point barrage as the Lakers try to get back to .500, I kick off the podcast with an NFL Week 13 that had some intriguing matchups, but for the most part, left us wanting more. I'll get into my winners (i.e. Baltimore & San Francisco) and losers (i.e. Patriots, Commanders & Giants) of the week as the playoff picture starts to get a little clearer as we're into the month of December.

(26:07) Just when we thought that USC & TCU would win their conference championship games and solidify their spot in the college football playoff, they both lose (USC badly and inexcusably, after being up 17-3 then outscored 44-3. And TCU fought valiantly but lost in OT) So Ohio State takes over USC's #4 spot in the country, while TCU stays at #3. Did they deserve to stay at #3? I'll dissect all that happened over the weekend as I set the stage for the Final Four on New Year's Eve. I'll also get into the hire of Deion Sanders by the University of Colorado, what does this mean for him? The school? The PAC-12? And what he'll need to do there to be successful?

(42:12) Jacob deGrom is one of the first major free agents off the market as he signs with the Texas Rangers on a five year/185.5 million dollar contract. Is yours truly upset or hurt by his defection? More importantly, what are the Mets going to do to replace the two time Cy Young award winner? With the baseball winter meetings beginning today, what could be percolating as far as rumors are concerned over the next few days? (Hello, Aaron Judge!) Cooperstown will have a new member in the Hall of Fame as Fred McGriff was nominated by the contemporary baseball committee yesterday. Is he deserving of this honor? What about some of the other nominees on the list? (i.e. Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Curt Schilling, Rafael Palmeiro, Albert Belle, etc.)

(53:13) The USA soccer team weren't able to upend Netherlands to move on in the World Cup. I'll recap their final game of the tournament, look at what's taken place (Germany and Belgium done, Lionel Messi's achievements, Brazil's key injuries, etc.) and look ahead to what we can possibly expect as we're less than two weeks from the championship match.

(1:00:09) Tyson Fury's comeback led him to a 10th round TKO over Derek Chisora. Now, he's calling out other fighters in his class as he's ready to resurrect his career after a few month layoff.

NFL Sleepwalks Into Final Week. 'Bama & Bulldogs Cakewalk To Rematch. Nets 'Attitude Adjustment'? NHL's 'Frozen' Classic Highlights Rough Stretch

Storming into 2022 with the same passion and fire of 2021 and beyond, delivering all that's happening in the world of sports as Episode #231 is ready to set your earbuds or speakers ablaze. On deck:

(3:50) The NFL season is just a week away from concluding, (Thank goodness! Don't worry, I'll explain) this 'biggest year ever' hasn't lived up to the billing as I'll get into my winners (Arizona & Las Vegas) and losers (Miami & Antonio Brown. A lot to unpack here, but I'm taking a different stance than the usual talking heads) of Week 17. I'll also discuss a bit of the following: the development of Jaguars QB, Trevor Lawrence. The Rams getting out of Baltimore with a huge win to move up in the NFC. The Chiefs fall to the surging Bengals. I'll get into a not so exciting Week 18 schedule and all of the up to the minute playoff possibilities in both conferences. I'll also spend a moment on the recent passings of legendary coach/broadcaster, John Madden (Plus, an interesting encounter that I had with him several years ago.) And former Broncos, Giants and Falcons coach, Dan Reeves.

(48:05) The College Football Playoff did not live up to expectations as both games were duds. Cincinnati didn't embarrass themselves but were no match for Alabama, while Georgia steamrolled over Michigan to set up another rematch between the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs. I'll have a thought or two on the storylines of the National Championship Game. Will Georgia exorcise the Alabama demons and defeats of the past.

(55:23) The Association is acting like a slow cook crock pot, while the Bulls have heated up with a seven game winning streak to the top spot of the Eastern Conference. The Nets have stubbed their toe recently due to some poor performances to where they need an 'attitude adjustment'. Is there truth to that? The Cavaliers lose point guard, Ricky Rubio to an ACL injury. They bring in former Laker, Rajon Rondo to fill his role. Is this a blessing? Or a curse for a young Cavs team? Also, the NBA suffers another loss with one of their great players as Sam Jones passed away over the weekend as we reflect on his life and career.

(1:04:04) All is quiet on the college basketball front as Baylor still resides at the top of the rankings for a fourth straight week.

(1:04:37) The Winter Classic was in full effect Saturday night in Minneapolis as the temperature was six below zero from the start as the Blues beat the Wild for their league's annual event to kick off the year. Other than that, teams are still trying to recover from a week off due to COVID interfering with the schedule. For the most part, things are in catch up mode as they look forward to making up these games over the 'Olympic break'.

(1:08:24) To wrap up, I'll have my Hero and Zero of the Week.

NFL's Jigsaw Playoff Picture Puzzle/WK 16 Winners & Losers. College Football Semifinal Preview. Is The Laker Experiment Toast? NHL's Wise Moves To Save Their Season? A Final Note From Me To You!

As Santa is back at the North Pole, all of the gifts are unwrapped, Christmas dinner and leftovers have been consumed, so now it's time to get into who's been naughty and nice in the sports world as the final podcast of the year ensues as Episode #230 is primed to be an entertaining one. On deck:

(5:27) The NFL season is coming down to the homestretch as this extended season is still three weeks away from the playoffs. For now, I'll go through my winners (Buffalo & Cincinnati) and losers (LA Chargers & Seattle) of Week 16. Two teams that I did not buy into the hype (i.e. San Francisco & New England) that many people have jumped on their bandwagon, suffered big losses on Sunday. Is Baker Mayfield worth franchise QB money in Cleveland? Are the Browns still in contention to win the AFC North? NOTE: Baltimore does need to lose one of their last two, on top of Cincinnati losing to KC on Sunday, in order for the Browns to win the division. Can the Cardinals gain any momentum as they're reeling in the NFC? I'll also touch on the resurging Raiders, Joe Judge and the dreadful Giants, dissect a log jam of an AFC playoff race and an NFC that's taking shape, but with lots to still be determined as I look ahead to the Week 17 schedule.

(41:38) I'll set my sights on the College Football Playoff semifinals come Friday. I'll preview both Cincinnati vs. Alabama and Georgia vs. Michigan. Can the Bearcats stack up against the almighty Crimson Tide? What about Georgia having to overcome the sting of an SEC Championship loss to play against the magic carpet ride and pixie dust of the Wolverines? I'll get into how both games may play out as they'll set the stage for the National Title Game on January 10th.

(50:19) The big story in the Association is the floundering of the Los Angeles Lakers as they're in the midst of a five game losing streak, with a record of 16-18, will they ever get their season back on track? The Clippers will lose Paul George, again, for an extended period of time due to a UCL strain. And an in-season tournament that could be implemented next year? Is this a gimmick? Is it legit?

(59:19) The NHL had to pause their season this past week due to players and teams in the COVID protocol, but with the Winter Classic on Saturday set to be played in Minneapolis, is it still a go? Also, the players will forgo the upcoming Olympics to make up games that were lost due to the pandemic. In a similar move to what the NBA did last week, they've increased the rosters to replenish rosters to protect themselves of potentially cancelling more games down the road.

(1:02:34) Baylor is still your #1 team in the country in college basketball for the third week straight as they've shown no hangover from winning the National Championship this past April.

(1:04:15) All is quiet on the MLB players and owners front as talks of a collective bargaining agreement have stalled. When will we see both parties reconnect?

(1:04:51) Of course, I'll have my Hero & Zero of the Week.

(1:07:17) I'll wrap up the final episode of the year with a tremendous THANK YOU to all of the listeners and followers who support the podcast. I plan to take this endeavor to greater heights in 2022. I appreciate you all for sticking with me as I embark on my fourth year of hosting and producing the best sports podcast out there on a weekly basis.

Roll Tide! College Football Playoff Storylines. Loaded AFC, Week 12 Winners & Losers. MLB Armageddon Has Begun. Suns Peak at 18! Tiger's Return?

December is off to a tremendous sports start and here to share my thoughts, opinions and analysis of it all as Episode #227 is full of passion and fire that you won't hear anywhere else. On deck:

(5:40) The end of a very intriguing college football regular season came to a close where it's a movie that we've seen plenty over the years. The Alabama Crimson Tide are riding high from their dismantling of the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game. What does this victory mean for this 'Bama team? What about the psyche of Georgia? I'll recap this game, Oklahoma State's brutal loss to Baylor, Michigan's thrashing of Iowa and Cincinnati keeping their unbeaten season alive as I'll showcase each of the Final Four teams storylines as we sit and wait for the college football playoff on New Year's Eve. Lastly, I'll chime in on some of the coaching changes that took place (i.e. USC, LSU & Oklahoma) and was it right for Lincoln Riley and Brian Kelly to leave their teams hanging for greener pastures?

(37:44) Week 13 in the NFL was, ehhhh! You had a couple of fantastic finishes in Detroit and Pittsburgh, but not a lot of shocks or surprises as I discuss my winners (Chargers & Lions) and losers (49ers & Broncos) of the week. I'll preview how important of a Monday night game it is for the Buffalo Bills as they face off vs. New England. I'll share my thoughts on a jam packed AFC as 12 teams are still alive in the playoff race. I'll get into how rabid yours truly gets when watching a Ravens-Steelers game and how that game came down to the wire. Of course, I'll look ahead into Week 14 as there are some good matchups on the schedule as we inch closer to the conclusion of the regular season.

(1:08:16) The MLB offseason has been put on ice as the collective bargaining agreement has expired. What now? What is the issue between the players and owners? Are the owners hypocrites for doling out huge deals to date, when they're trying to cut costs? I'll get into it all, even come up with a possible timeframe for when this should be done if they plan on getting next season started on time AND what does this mean for players like Freddie Freeman, Carlos Correa, Trevor Story, Kris Bryant who haven't signed as of yet?

(1:19:25) The Phoenix Suns were shining bright as they were able to pull off an 18 game winning streak. No NBA Finals hangover for Chris Paul & company. Can they continue to put the pressure and threaten the Warriors and get back to another Finals appearance? And what happened to the Oklahoma City Thunder? They lost by how many to a Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies team? You know I've got a couple of things to say about this. There been a couple of key injuries (i.e. Damian Lillard & Bam Adebayo) to the Blazers and Heat. Also, have the Knicks started to bottom out after a 5-1 start?

(1:25:53) There's a new #1 in college basketball as Duke loses to Ohio State last week, so the Purdue Boilermakers step up to the top spot in a pretty topsy turvy start to the college basketball season.

(1:27:40) A couple of coaches have walked the plank in the NHL in Vancouver & Philadelphia. (i.e. Travis Green & Alain Vigneault) and the Islander losing streak (11) has reached new lows. Is it too late for them to dig out of this crater that they've caused?

(1:30:01) Tiger Woods was in the news as he had a press conference last week to discuss his recovery, how grateful he is and when can we see him back on the golf course?

(1:33:32) In closing, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Colts Stampede, Titan-ic Upset Highlights NFL WK 12 Winners & Losers. Ohio St.: Hottest Team In Nation? Lakers Malaise. Islanders Sinking. MLB Signings

As you prepare to give thanks for all that's in your life through food, family and football, I'll be sure to set the table with all of the fixins and serve up some hard hitting sports talk to whet your appetite as Episode #225 is hot out of the oven! On deck:

(6:50) The NFL had a very interesting Week 11, with some surprising winners (i.e. MIN & IND) and shocking losers (i.e. TEN & BUF) as I cover all that happened throughout the league. Is it time to take the Colts seriously? What about the Patriots? Can the Eagles make a run in the NFC East? Is the Chief defense for real? I'll share a take or two on the Steelers wild comeback falling short vs. the Chargers. I'll take an early peek at the Thanksgiving games (HINT: Not too much to write home about!) and a captivating Week 12 schedule to cap off your holiday weekend.

(40:36) The college football season continues to impress as there were not one, but two teams, that drop out of the running for the playoff set for New Year's Eve as Michigan State and Oregon were embarrassed on Saturday. What does this mean for Cincinnati? Are they an automatic to make the college football playoff? Is Ohio State the hottest team in the country? I'll preview what will be a fascinating slate of games this weekend, highlighted by the grudge match at the Big House between Ohio St. vs. Michigan.

(55:58) The Lakers (aka The Expendables) haven't been able to get in sync during the early part of the season. The big news was the fracas in Detroit where LeBron James whacked Isaiah Stewart across the face after a free throw attempt. Will this team get out of their malaise any time soon? I compare them to another veteran team of the past that had their shortcomings, but made it to an NBA Final in the process. I'll also get into the potential return of Klay Thompson, the first coach fired this season comes from the Sacramento Kings, a huge loss for the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Phoenix Suns torrid streak and other top stories from the past week in the Association.

(1:06:00) The Islanders have ended their 13 game odyssey throughout North America with two home games in their brand spanking new arena (UBS Arena) over the past weekend. But when they ended their long road trip with a four game losing streak, only to top it off with two more losses at home, which begs the question. Will they be able to turn it around quickly and not fall any deeper in the Eastern Conference? I'll discuss the latest with a key player from the two time defending Cup champions going out indefinitely with an injury (TB's Brayden Point), a COVID breakout in Ottawa and the Thanksgiving Friday game which has become an annual matchup between two original six teams (i.e. Rangers-Bruins)

(1:15:53) There's been some activity in free agency throughout baseball with the impending doom of the collective bargaining agreement expiring on December 1st. Some pitchers have re-signed with their team (Toronto's Jose Berrios) and some have changed addresses, which includes former Mets starter, Noah Syndergaard. So you know I have a couple of things to get off of my chest about this. The Yankees are posturing for a big off-season, but again, baseball armageddon is coming. Will it be a long, cold, hard winter for the sport? I also have a few choice words for super agent Scott Boras as he chimes in about how teams are 'tanking' before the trade deadline and how it affects business with his clients.

(1:22:54) Welterweight Terence Crawford wins in a 10th round TKO over Shawn Porter on Saturday night. Is there a chance that we can see a fight with Errol Spence, Jr. on the horizon?

(1:24:59) In closing, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Pack Attack, Bills Mafia, Mahomes's Health & Brady's Back. Divisional Recap. AFC/NFC Title Previews. Alabama: Greatest Team Ever? The Layers Of James Harden To BK. The Return Of Conor McGregor!

As we celebrate the late, great Dr. Martin Luther King, if your dream is to listen to top notch, fast paced sports talk, then you’ve come to the right place as Episode 174 is primed to deliver. On deck:

(3:11) The Packers take care of business. The Bills swarm Lamar Jackson. The Chiefs escape, but not without losing star QB, Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady is back in another Championship game setting. I’ll preview Conference Championship Sunday with some burning questions that need to be answered. Is this the end for Drew Brees? Will Urban Meyer cut it in Jacksonville? Has Deshaun Watson played his last game in Houston?

(45:03) Are the 2020 Alabama Crimson Tide the best college football team ever? I have a team that’s just ahead of them in my book. I’ll explain.

(47:49) The many layers of the James Harden trade to Brooklyn. His behavior and subsequent exit from Houston? Did the Nets sell their souls to NBA hell? Where and how does Kyrie Irving fit in? Is Harden clutch enough in the postseason? I’ll share a few other newsworthy notes throughout the Association as well.

(1:03:46) I’ll spend a second on how former Georgetown guard Mac McClung has made an impact at his new school with Texas Tech?

(1:04:17) The NHL season is five days old and the Dallas Stars have yet to play a game because of the coronavirus! Also, the two game series schedule could either bolster the league (i.e. think rivalries) or bottom out (playing the same teams over and over)?

(1:06:39) The MLB Hot Stove has been predominantly cool, but there were a couple of big signings, especially in the Bronx with DJ LaMahieu and two time Cy Young award winner, Corey Kluber. I’ll share my thoughts on that.

(1:09:57) Guess who’s back? After a brief retirement, Conor McGregor is scheduled to fight on Saturday vs. Dustin Poirier. Does anyone care?

(1:11:52) Plus, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Colts Conundrum, Ravens Revenge, Steelers Stinker & The Rest Of NFL Wild Card Weekend, 'Bama-Buckeye Preview, NBA Confronts COVID, Mets/Lindor: Series Bound? NHL Raises Curtain

Settling into the New Year while I dissect the sports universe as Episode 173 is ready for takeoff! On deck:

(3:23) Not the wildest of Wild Card weekends that the NFL was hoping for, but tons to delve into on the Colts unable to capitalize in Buffalo, the Rams ‘D’ thwart Russell Wilson and the Seahawks, Washington QB Taylor Heinecke upstages the Buccaneers victory. The Ravens get some payback, the Saints were slow, yet methodical in the second half vs. the Bears (also Nickolodeon, NFL? Really?) And the debacle in Pittsburgh as they dug themselves a big hole that they couldn’t get out of vs. the Browns. I’ll also take the temperature of the Steeler organization after another putrid home playoff performance. A State of the Union, if you will on their free agents, Big Ben close to the end? Coach Mike Tomlin’s postseason record and more, that any Steeler fan wouldn’t want to miss. Plus, my Divisional Round preview with predictions, coaching news and Deshaun Watson’s frustration in Houston.

(59:49) A preview of tonight’s National Title Game between Ohio State vs. Alabama. What will it take for the Buckeyes to upset the Crimson Tide? Also, an apology to Heisman Trophy winner, DeVonta Smith.

(1:02:51) The NBA confronting with coronavirus running through the league. Is there a possible pause to the season forthcoming? The Clippers latest collapse and LaMelo Ball’s record setting achievement.

(1:08:24) Breaking down the NCAA’s decision to keep the entire March Madness tournament in the state of Indiana.

(1:10:25) An NHL season begins on Wednesday with news on the realigned divisions being sponsored. A retirement from a Stanley Cup winning goaltender and a thought of who I feel will be in the Stanley Cup Final?

(1:17:15) The Mets trade for star infielder, Francisco Lindor. Does that make the Mets Series contenders? Is he the final piece to the puzzle? Kyle Schwarber finds a home and what happened in LA with the Angels and their former clubhouse attendant, providing doctored baseballs to opposing pitchers?

(1:24:07) Lastly, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

NFL Finish Line, Winners & Losers, Wild Card Storylines & Preview, 'Bama & Buckeyes Dominate, MLB's 'Not' Stove/Message To Mets Fans, Clips George Hears 'Chirping', Toews/Zdeno NHL News

Starting off the New Year in, what else, fiery fashion as I deliver all of what the sports universe has to offer as Episode 172 gets us off and running. On deck:

(3:23) The NFL crosses the regular season finish line, with kudos going out to Roger Goodell and company for completing the season in the world of the coronavirus. I’ll touch on everything from the AFC Wild Card games being superior to the NFC. Week 17 winners & losers, Black Monday for NFL head coaches, storylines heading into Wild Card weekend, with a word on both the Chiefs and Packers. A preview of the six Wild Card matchups with predictions and much more.

(47:36) I’ll recap the College Football playoff semifinal as, quite frankly, there was nothing to write home about as Alabama dispose of Notre Dame and Ohio St. dismantles Clemson. I’ll take an early look at the National Title Game to be played next Monday evening.

(55:44) Time to start the clock on pitchers & catchers reporting to Spring Training, but the MLB Hot Stove is still as cold as a January day. What gives? Although the Padres continue to bolster their rotation by bringing in Yu Darvish. Are they thisclose to competing with the Dodgers in the NL West? As for the Mets, I’ll have to bring the fan base off of the ledge as there’s good reason why owner, Steve Cohen, has laid low during the free agency period.

(1:02:58) The NBA for the most part has been quiet. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving didn’t come through in the clutch, Steph Curry is in familiar form and Paul George is hearing a ‘lot of chirping’ from his breathren throughout the league. I’ll get into all of that.

(1:06:07) Kentucky finally wins an NCAA basketball game. In double OT, with their Coach John Calipari ejected!

(1:07:17) The NHL season raises its curtain next week as a couple of their big stars (Chicago’s Jonathan Toews and new Washington Capitals D, Zdeno Chara) are discussed in regards to their health and new surroundings, respectively.

(1:11:37) Plus, my Hero and Zero of the Week.
