Nuggets/Golden Knights Hit Title Jackpot! What's Next For Heat/Panthers? A's Fans "Reverse Boycott"? Subway Series Recap. US Open Tees Off In LA. Trouble With Stefon Diggs In Buffalo?

There's a huge shift in the sports universe as we make our way into summer. You know I've got you covered on everything that's happening in the land of competition. On deck:

(2:41) We make the pivot in the sports world now that the fall & winter sports have crowned champions as we get to a bit of a lull with baseball being the predominant sport over the course of the next couple of months.

(4:22) The Denver Nuggets showed a lot of grit and gumption down the stretch of Game 5 and throughout the postseason as they captured their first ever NBA title. I'll go through the key points of their win on Monday night, the unassuming superstar Nikola Jokic, the comeback for Jamal Murray and the rest of their team. On the flip side, what will it take for the Miami Heat to get over the hump. Is it Damian Lillard? Or another top star that can lead them to the NBA mountaintop?

(19:00) Twenty four hours after Denver got the chance to celebrate, the Vegas strip I'm sure was on and poppin' as the Golden Knights thrashed the Panthers 9-3 in Game 5 as they clinch their first Stanley Cup. I'll get into the storylines for the coach (Bruce Cassidy) top scorer (Jack Eichel) and Conn Smythe MVP and former Panther (Jonathan Marchessault). It was a magic carpet ride for Florida, but were missing their top gun (Matthew Tkachuk) as he was out with a fractured sternum. What will this mean for the Panthers moving forward? Are they close to winning it next year? I'll also get into the Rangers new head coach that I'm not in favor of (Peter Laviolette) and a new owner in Ottawa (Michael Andlauer) as he purchases the Senators for a record $950 million dollars.

(29:49) What has gotten into the Oakland A's fans? Over 27,000 showed up at the Oakland Coliseum to support a 'reverse boycott' as they're asking owner John Fisher to sell the team. It's a little bit too late, if you ask me. I'll get into the myriad of reasons, including the team securing public money to build a ballpark in Las Vegas. The Subway Series Round 1 is over as the Mets and Yankees split two games. I'll share all of the ins and outs and is there a slight disconnect with manager Buck Showalter and the players? Plus, I'll take a trip around the major leagues to keep you abreast on all that's going on.

(44:04) The third Grand Slam of the golf season has arrived. The US Open out in the LA Country Club will host over the next four days. Will there be fallout from the LIV/PGA acquisition last week between players from those tours? Who'll come out on top after four rounds Sunday evening?

(47:37) There's been some late mini-camp drama up in Buffalo between Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo Bills. Coach Sean McDermott said that everything has been resolved with Diggs and the team. Is this something that could linger into training camp? The season?

The 'Not Too High or Too Low' Theme From NFL Week 1, Except? Steelers 'Not Ready For Primetime', Mets 'Not Ready For Postseason' Tirades, MLB Wild Card Latest, Rafa Wins, Serena Loses AGAIN at US Open

I'm in a feisty, awful sports mood, so hide the women and children, because Episode 90 promises to be full of smoke and fire. On deck:

In fourteen NFL cities this morning, either they're setting up the Super Bowl parade route or ready to draft for the number one pick. But there are two excpetions. I'll explain. I'll also go around the league and assess the damage up in Foxborough as the Steelers no showed vs. the Patriots.

The Mets have put their postseason hopes in the trash after a brutal loss in Washington and losing two out of three vs. Philadelphia. Mickey Callaway may have seen his managerial position go out the window with some very questionable moves this week. I have plenty of ammunition on this and I'll also recap the latest in the AL & NL Wild Card races.

Rafael Nadal has inched closer in his quest to catch Roger Federer for most Mens' Grand Slam titles. Serena Williams has now lost back to back Wimbledon and US Open Finals as she's stuck on 23 Grand Slam victories. Hear my take on both legendary figures and what may lie ahead in 2020 now that the Tennis Slams are done for the year.

Plus, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

The Mets Postseason Hopes On Life Support, NL/AL Wild Card Recap, NFL Player Movement, Novak 'Retires' From US Open

September has arrived, new beginnings on the horizon as we sink our teeth into Episode 88 of this latest sports talk party. On deck:

The Mets have fizzled at home where they've been successful, but have thrown their playoff hopes into Flushing Bay. I'll recap the week that was, and analyze if there's still a glimmer of hope? Plus, the AL/NL Wild Card races and the Yankees counting down the days until they secure their first division title in seven years, but shudder at the thought of one of their key players coming back.

Are you ready for some football? We're just days away from the start of the 100th season of the National Football League. I'll catch up on all of the player movement that took place over the weekend. Are the Miami Dolphins tanking? And I'll rehash if we've seen the death of the NFL preseason as we know it.

I'll also chime in on the latest that's going on at the US Open Tennis Tournament, Week 1 of the college football season, and of course, my Hero and Zero of the Week.

Yanks/MLB Postseason Preview, Jets/Giants/NFL Week 4, NHL Preview, College Football

One of the best sports months of the year has arrived. I’m here to usher it in with fast and furious sports talk on the latest edition of The JAYREELZ Podcast. When you’re the New York Yankees, it’s all about October. Wednesday night, they’ll host the wild card game in the Bronx vs. the Oakland A’s. You’ll get all of the analysis and breakdown of this do or die matchup as the winner will face the Boston Red Sox. There are also two play-in games in the NL today as we’ll crown division winners in the Central and West. Plus, a playoff preview and World Series prediction on tap with a final word on David Wright, Jacob deGrom and the 2018 Mets. The NFL seasons for the Jets and Giants are slowly slipping away. Gang Green was overmatched in Jacksonville, while the Giants couldn’t muster much against the Saints. You’ll hear what I have to say about both squads (WARNING to Giant fans: It’s not going to be pretty) and roundup all of the crazy action of Week 4 in the NFL, including last nights’ debacle in Pittsburgh. If you think dissecting the Giants isn't going to be a pretty one, wait ‘till you hear what I have to say about the Steelers? Another NHL season is on the horizon. I’ll discuss the locals (Rangers, Islanders and Devils) and what they may have in store and make a prediction on who’ll play for the Stanley Cup next spring. I’ll also add a word on Ohio State’s remarkable comeback in Happy Valley vs. Penn State and sprinkle a couple of other things as October kicks off a wild and crazy sports month on this weeks episode of The JAYREELZ Podcast. (Episode 32)
