I’m about to handle my business and may get a little personal because of what has transpired over the last few days and what’s to come as I roll up my sleeves and share all of the feels in the world of sports as the latest podcast has arrived. On deck:

(6:33) After a brief mention of a Cowboys-Steelers matchup that lasted until 1:00am, the hunt for Red October in baseball shifts to a Division Series as the top two seeds are introduced in the AL & NL. First, I have to unpack how the Mets have gotten here. Where does Game 3 in Milwaukee rank in Met history after Pete Alonso’s heroics in the 9th inning? What about their Game 1 comeback of the LDS? And doing it again in Game 2 before losing? There is an issue regarding the magic that this team produced, which I’ll be sure to dissect as they come home with a chance to wrap up the series at Citi Field. There’s an all out battle on the West Coast. The Dodgers win Game 1 behind Shohei Ohtani’s game tying home run early in the contest. The Padres answer with a 10-2 win in Game 2, becoming testy with some of the Padres players and the fans in the stands. How much pressure are the Dodgers to win this series? The Guardians show up and tame the Tigers in their first game. Can they go deep into October and make a run for the title? Then the Yankees had to eke out a win in unimpressive fashion vs. Kansas City. I’ll get the full 30,000 foot view to date of what has taken place and see what lies ahead as we get into the middle of the week. Also, Terry Francona surprised the baseball world as he’s returning from a one year retirement to become the manager of the Cincinnati Reds.

(32:45) There are three teams that are facing a crossroads of their NFL season. The Jets lose over in London to fall to 2-3. The 49ers had no business losing at home to Arizona, but also fall a game under .500. And the Bengals could be over and out after squandering a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter to the Ravens, as their record stands at 1-4. Will these teams dig out of their respective holes to qualify for the playoffs in January? Of course, I’ll get into all of the craziness yesterday throughout the league, including my beloved Steelers whose defense were unable to answer Dak Prescott in the closing minutes of a gut punch of a loss against the Cowboys. And a belated farewell to Mercury Morris, the former Dolphin running back of the undefeated team back in 1972, who died a couple of weeks ago at the age of 77.

(57:25) If you thought the NFL had a crazy Sunday, college football said, I’ve got something for you. There were five major upsets in the sport, headlined by #1 Alabama losing to Vanderbilt. You also had #9 Missouri get whacked by #25 Texas A&M. Arkansas topping #4 Tennessee. #10 Michigan losing a championship rematch in Washington to the Huskies and USC gets stymied by Minnesota. What do these losses mean in the grand scheme of college football playoff things?

(1:05:27) The puck has already dropped on the NHL season with two games that the New Jersey Devils won in Prague vs. the Buffalo Sabres, but I’ll unpack the top storylines, over/under point totals, surprises, disappointments and a Stanley Cup Final prediction as the curtain will raise in earnest tomorrow night.

(1:24:21) Alex Pereira retained his light heavyweight title at UFC 307 in a tussle that turned out to be more than what it was, stopping Khalil Rountree in the fourth round on Saturday night.
