Spring is officially here! The same for March Madness as I’ll unpack the NCAA Tournament and all that the sports world has to offer, as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

(6:33) It’s time to witness and experience the Madness! The NCAA Tournament commences today. I’ll have a complete breakdown and analysis of the top storylines (Does UNC have a run in them? Will all 1 seeds meet in the Final Four? Who’ll get picked off first?) Among other intriguing topics, including my Final Four and National Champion predictions as we’ll go in full sprint over the next three weeks to see who ends up in San Antonio April 5-7.

(39:22) The NBA will take a backseat to college basketball over the weekend. It’s been rather quiet in the Association. Do I discuss Paul George being shut down in Philly? I’ll peep the standings and schedule to check the latest in the playoff seedings as we’re three and a half week from the season concluding.

(49:21) On the ice, things are looking like their basketball counterparts as there’s nothing to uncover, despite the wild card races in both conferences starting to heat up.

(57:11) Baseball season is underway, but we’re still a week away from Opening Day throughout the sport. The Dodgers are 2-0 after two wins in Japan over the Cubs. Is this team going to be a juggernaut? Or sleepwalk until October? Plus, a surprise regarding where I'll have my forthcoming 2025 MLB Preview that you won't want to miss.

(1:04:49) Wake me up when Aaron Rodgers either retires or signs on with a team. Besides that, I don’t want anything to do with him. The Houston Texans re-sign a couple of their own defensive players. And I make a brief mention of Rory McIlroy winning the TPC in a playoff and what that means with The Masters three weeks away.

Does UNC Deserve A Tournament Bid? What’s The Toughest Region? Spurs In Tank Mode? Ovechkin Pressure To Pass Great One? Dodgers Begin Defense. 162-0? Bengals Break Bank On Chase & Tee

Feeling a little bit green in these parts as St. Paddy’s 2025 has arrived, but so is the latest podcast as we get set to break out from the Sports Dead Zone, Pt. 1 over the past five weeks! On deck:

(6:36) We’ve finally gotten past the doldrums of the Super Bowl leading into this week, as March Madness is about to begin. I’ll go through the controversies of who was left out (West Virginia, Indiana, Ohio State & Boise State) and who was selected (North Carolina & Texas) as you’ll get my honest thoughts on this and other issues (No more Sunday championship games on the day where the committee selects who qualifies for the tournament. Games on TNT, TBS & TruTv, who has the hardest region, the easiest) as I get you ready for what’ll take place over the next couple of days, leading into the basketball bonanza of Thursday & Friday.

(35:08) As for what’s happening in the Association, the Cavaliers finally had their 16 game winning streak snapped at home vs. Orlando. Steph Curry has reached 4,000 three pointers made in his career. Is it worth celebrating? When will Knicks guard Jalen Brunson return? De’Aaron Fox is done for the year in San Antonio. Do I smell another tanking? I’ll explain. Plus, remembering Sonics legend, Slick Watts who passed away at 73. I’ll discuss the log jam out West and the lackluster East as we’re less than a month away from the end of the season.

(49:45) On the ice, all is quiet in the NHL. Alex Ovechkin is eight goals from topping Wayne Gretzky overall in the history of the league. How he can thwart any pressure over the last 15 games to secure his place before the regular season concludes? There are a couple of big time wild card races in each conference as I’ll dissect the latest playoff seeds with a little more than a bakers dozen games to go.

(56:38) Baseball begins tomorrow! Not the most conventional Opening Day that we’ll see, but the Dodgers are in Japan for a two game series vs. the Cubs. What are the expectations? Is it 162-0 or bust? A complete sweep (11-0) in the playoffs? The Yankees continue to deal with injuries to their pitching staff (Clarke Schmidt). Your Opening Day starter for the Mets comes as a surprise. Another position player turning to pitching (Joey Gallo) and the stadium issue in Tampa goes from bad to worse.

(1:08:49) NFL free agency will start to cool off a bit, but not without the Bengals making a historic big splash for both of their wideouts as Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins gets paid. I’ll keep you up to date on the most recent signings from Cooper Kupp to Cooper Rush over the past three, four days.

Morant/Grizzlies Season Defining Test, UNC Out Of Madness? Bruins Raising Cup Bar Daily. A's To Vegas? WBC: Anyone Care? Jon Jones: Legend, Not Immortal. Yet!

Riding high into this first full week of March, I kick off the week with a jam packed, fast paced sports podcast for you to digest. On deck:

(2:52) Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant will be away from the team due to brandishing a gun on his Instagram story early Saturday morning. How will this affect the team that's had success in the regular season the last two years, but certainly haven't arrived as a team that's mature or not being able to take their game to the next level come playoff time. What about the coach, Taylor Jenkins? How does he handle this mini-crisis as they navigate through this tough stretch? The Bucks had a 16 game winning streak snapped on Saturday vs. the Sixers, but it was Giannis Antetokounmpo who looked like a fool rebounding his own shot to secure a triple double at Washington last night. I'll throw my two cents on that. The Suns are 3-0 with Kevin Durant in the lineup as they defeated the Mavericks yesterday. It got testy at the end of the game between Luka Doncic and Devin Booker. Is it possible that they face off in the postseason? Steph Curry has returned from injury with the Warriors. Can he push them higher in the Western Conference? Break up the Knicks as they've won nine straight as they put themselves in good position to avoid the play-in tournament. The Association is in the final 18-20 game stretch with about a month away from the season concluding.

(20:50) Conference Championship Week has arrived. One team that needs an enormous few days to get to the Tournament is the North Carolina TarHeels. Will they do some damage in the ACC Tournament? Will the committee let them in? Also, the #1 team in the nation avoided a scare as Houston won on a last second buzzer beater at Memphis. As we're a little more than a week away from the Madness beginning, which teams will be #1's in each of their brackets? March Madness is here. So get ready as college basketball will begin their takeover in sports starting tomorrow.

(27:23) I'm at a loss for words, people. The Boston Bruins seem to be front and center whenever I discuss the NHL. They're in the middle of a 10 game winning streak. They've gotten reinforcements at the trade deadline. It is Stanley Cup victory or bust for this organization. I'll explain why it would be not minor or major, but COLOSSAL if they fall short of that. Speaking of the trade deadline, you had some good moves, minor acquisitions but nothing earth shattering or what we saw the past few weeks. I'll go through both conferences, the latest wild card scenarios as we approach the final quarter of the regular season.

(37:56) There's been some rumblings about the possibility of the Oakland A's moving to Las Vegas. It may not take place for some time, but does yours truly approve of this, if and when it does happen? Anyone interested in the World Baseball Classic? I'll give a psuedo preview, but if it comes down to two teams in particular for the title, I will definitely tune in. You'll have to listen in order to see which matchup I'd love to see. Plus, Bryce Harper is in camp and pitcher Mike Clevinger won't be disciplined for alleged domestic and verbal abuse towards his family.

(48:26) Derek Carr has found a new home, down by the Bayou in New Orleans. How much of an improvement will he be in an underwhelming NFC South? Former Panthers owner, Jerry Richardson passed away at the age of 86. There were a few player cuts recently as the NFL will open the new year in about nine days so the free agent frenzy will begin at that time.

(52:58) Jon Jones is back in the UFC once again, wreaking havoc as he win the heavyweight crown defeating Cyril Gane in submission just two minutes into the first round. We know how much of a legend he is in the sport. He's back (as we saw), but is he here to stay? Or will he continue to fall into the patterns and behaviors that has derailed him from immortal status as of today?

A Big Podcast Week Leans Into UNC Triumph, Coach K's Exit, Kansas Primed For Title. Lakers: Biggest Disappointment Ever? Mets Concern For Jake/Max. A COL-FLA Cup Final? Tiger To Play At The Masters?

The first full week of April ushers in a new era of the podcast as yours truly is primed and ready to deliver it all for YOU, the casual or diehard sports fan. On deck:

(4:35) I begin with a synopsis of the reasons why I've expanded the podcast to twice a week.

(8:40) I'll also discuss my sojourn to Northern California (San Francisco/Bay Area) as I detail my experience in celebrating another birthday. The beauty of being a sports fan living in the Pacific time zone. I shout out a couple of dear friends who were vital in making our stay pleasurable, but this theme does have a connection with sports. Including, my purpose and responsibility to you the listener, for navigating the podcast in a new direction moving forward.

(18:36) Which leads me to the Final Four this past weekend. Kansas continues to roll in this tournament, while the Mike Krzyzewski era ends against their arch rivals in North Carolina. I'll break down what I was able to see (hence the previous segment), the bitter end of Coach K's career and preview tonight's title game as the Tar Heels try to upend the top seeded Jayhawks. I'll throw some bouquets at the Women's NCAA Champion South Carolina Gamecocks, who ran right past UConn for their second title in five years.

(32:06) I'll stick with hoops as we can put an epitaph on the Lakers embarrassingly underachieving season. Is this the most disappointing season in sports history for a team that had championship aspirations? Does Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks have what it takes to make a deep playoff run? Why is Joel Embiid making it all about his MVP candidacy this late in the season? I'll dissect what the latest is happening throughout the Association and introduce who the 2022 Hall of Fame recipients are as we've entered the final week of this long regular season.

(49:45) Is the sky falling for the Met fan like myself? With Jacob deGrom on the shelf for a minimum of four weeks with shoulder tightness and prized free agent, Max Scherzer dealing with hamstring tightness, the Mets could get off to a slow start. Will deGrom's health ever improve? Will he be the pitcher that he once was? Plus, the signing of Albert Pujols comes full circle in St. Louis as he signs a one year deal with the Cardinals to close out his career.

(57:55) Could we have a potential 1996 Stanley Cup Final rematch between Colorado & Florida? They are the two best teams in each conference as of this moment. I'll go around the ice to bring you up to speed on the NHL landscape. (The Lightning's chances to three-peat. Are the Islanders still alive for a Wild Card spot? The Flyers handling of Keith Yandle's iron man streak. And the unfortunate passing of the Senators owner, Larry Melnyk)

(1:05:21) Will Tiger Woods make it all the way back from a near fatal car accident 14 months ago to participate in the first major golf tournament of 2022? That'll be the biggest question leading up to Thursday's tee time as the Masters will commence in Augusta.

(1:10:18) To conclude, I'll have my Hero and Zero of the Week. And a heads up on another social media platform that I'll jump into for the very first time come later this week.
