Wrapping up another month of high octane sports talk and a rant you won’t wanna miss as the latest podcast is here. On deck:

(4:10) One team has punched their ticket to the NBA Finals (Boston Celtics). We’re still waiting for the other as the Minnesota Timberwolves kept their season alive with a Game 4 win in Dallas? Will the T-wolves extend the series to six? Dare I say, seven games? I’ll recap the Celtics Game 4 win over Indiana as they’ll have a ten day layoff before the start of the Finals next Thursday.

(19:15) The Stanley Cup Conference Finals have a lot of juice as both series are even at two games apiece. First up, the Panthers clawed back to even the series with a pivotal Game 5 at MSG tonight. Who’ll end up as the East Champs as this could end up being a classic Final? Out West, the Edmonton Oilers continue their unpredictable march as they lost Game 3 after being up 2-0 in the first period. In Game 4, the Oilers came back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the series. What can we possibly expect from a team that is a chameleon from one game to the next? Could it go seven games?

(30:37) MLB has implemented the statistics from the Negro Leagues to be a part of baseball moving forward. Why I think that was the right thing for the sport to do? I’ll get into another strange interference call in last night’s Yankees-Angels game. And I’ll continue my assault from Monday’s podcast to put to rest the 2024 New York Mets. Who’s at fault? What do I think the front office, ownership should do to this underachieving, embarrassing team? It’s a rant that comes straight from the heart and gut being a diehard Met fan.

(55:01) #1 women’s player Iga Światek survived a scare from Naomi Osaka in the second round of the French Open as she came back from a 5-2 deficit in the third set to win 7-5. Was it fair for Osaka to meet Swiatek this early in the tournament?

(57:29) There’s a UFC lightweight championship at stake on Saturday night as Dustin Poirier will go up against Islam Makhachev. Is there a Poirier-Conor McGregor bout somewhere down the road?

NBA Conundrum As Potential Sweeps Leads To Inactivity Before Finals? Rangers OT Heroics Over FLA. Five Top MLB Contenders & No One Else? Bill Walton Dies! The End Of Rafa In French Open Exit?

As we remember our fallen heroes on this Memorial Day, I’ll share with you the latest podcast detailing all of what’s happening in sports. On deck:

(4:13) The NBA is facing a big time conundrum. Both conference finals are one win away from punching their tickets to a Final. The issue is if both series conclude over the next 30 something hours from now, there will be nine days between the end of Dallas-Minnesota and Game 1 of the NBA Finals. What can the league do about that? I’ll get into how both the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks have gotten to this point. What does this mean for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Indiana Pacers? Do they have at least one big time game in them to extend these series? Also, why did the Cleveland Cavaliers fire coach JB Bickerstaff?

(24:52) The New York Rangers have rebounded after being shut out in Game 1 with two overtime wins over the Florida Panthers to take a 2-1 series lead. How will the Panthers respond to two tough defeats? The Dallas Stars have evened their series vs. the Edmonton Oilers after dropping Game 1 in double OT. Will the Stars continue their road dominance? What about the Oilers taking advantage of home ice? Off the ice, the Devils hired former Maple Leafs coach, Sheldon Keefe to man the bench over the next few years. Was that a surprise?

(33:30) As we approach the first barometer of the baseball season, there are only FIVE teams that can win a World Series. Baltimore, NY Yankees, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Los Angeles Dodgers. I’ll separate a lot of the pretenders and explain why these teams won’t be a part of the Fall Classic in October or even win it? NOTE: It was during this segment that I read the news of NBA great, Bill Walton had passed away due to cancer at 71. I spent a few minutes discussing his legacy and career. I had to unpack the Mets as being a team that’s a pretender for 2024. I’m not ready to bury them completely, but the dirt has already been thrown on them.

(51:34) Rafael Nadal made his return to a surface that he’s no doubt been the best player ever on it. The clay courts of Roland Garros at the French Open. He went in as a wild card (unseeded) and faced a formidable opponent in Alexander Zverev. He lost in the first round in straight sets. Could this be the end of Rafa as we know it?

(56:12) Josef Newgarden is your Indianapolis 500 winner for the second straight year. That hasn’t been done in 22 years. There was a little controversy surrounding a cheating scandal regarding a race strategist. Will there be any consequences over such a thing?

(58:05) I wrap up with some very sad news in golf as Grayson Murray, who had two wins on the PGA Tour, took his own life over the weekend at the age of 30.

Luka/Kyrie Take Home Court From T’wolves. Celtics Luck? Or Pacers Choke? Oilers-Stars Preview. Panthers Swipe GM 1. Phillies: MLB’s Best? Will Rafa Play The French? No Love For Indy 500?

The unofficial beginning of summer is on the horizon! And so is the latest podcast, covering ALL that’s happening in the world of sports. On deck:

(5:04) After spending a moment taking a peek at what lies ahead over the weekend in sports, the NBA is front and center as both Game 1’s in the Conference Finals are in the books. The Dallas Mavericks take the home court away from the Minnesota Timberwolves and give them something to think about heading into Game 2. Will the T’wolves respond? As for the East, the Boston Celtics stole Game 1. Or did the Indiana Pacers give it away? You can say a bit of both as the Celtics are thankful to get the first game of the series out of the way. How will this series unfold after a crushing Game 1 loss for the Pacers?

(19:15) On the ice, Game 1 of the Western Conference commences this evening as the Edmonton Oilers hung on to beat the Vancouver Canucks in a Game 7 for the right to play the Dallas Stars. I’ll preview who’ll come out of the conference as the Stars have been stout, but have had some lapses so far this postseason and the Oilers have been up and down, but survived two rounds. In the East, the Florida Panthers drew first blood against the Rangers at MSG to steal home ice from the top seeded Broadway Blueshirts. This is the beginning of, I think, will be a wild and hotly contested series.

(32:14) How about the high flying Fightin’ Philadelphia Phillies? They have the best record after 50 games since the 2001 Seattle Mariners. Are they THAT good? I’ll also show some love to the Kansas City Royals as they’re off to their best start as well. Will the continue to keep this up? I’ll survey the baseball landscape as we get set for a holiday weekend on the diamond.

(47:36) The second Grand Slam on the tennis calendar is approaching as the French Open is just days away. The two big storylines are as follows. Will Rafael Nadal play on his favorite surface? And will anyone beat back to back French Open champion, Iga Swiatek?

(53:55) With the rage of many people on top of Formula 1 racing, why is the Indianapolis 500 not getting any love? As the historically popular race is set for this coming Sunday.

A Potential SIX Game 7’s In The NBA & NHL This Weekend? PGA Golf Preview. Can We Flush The NFL Schedule Release Day? MLB In The Wilderness? Mystik Dan Set Up To Win Or Lose?

(3:45) After a brief weather report in my neck of the woods, my theme to start off the podcast is the possibility of not one, not two, but SIX Game 7’s in the NBA & NHL postseason? I’ll start off with the NBA and discuss Denver’s unlikely comeback to close out the T’wolves in Game 6. Will the Pacers & now Thunder (who I’m disappointed in) force a Game 7 as well? The Celtics are the only team not to go six games as they’ve punched their ticket to another Conference Final beating the Cavaliers in five.

(23:22) Are the Rangers in trouble of blowing a 3-0 series lead? Can the Bruins push the Panthers to a deciding game, similar to what Florida did to them last year? Dallas struggles to close out Colorado in their building. Will the Avalanche push the top seeded Stars to the brink? As for the Oilers-Canucks, that series is tied at 2. Can Edmonton win two of the final three? Or will Vancouver take care of the Oilers in six? Seven?

(35:18) The second leg of golf’s Grand Slam is in Louisville, KY as the PGA Championship commences today. Who’ll be at the top of the leaderboard and win when it’s all said and done?

(40:33) Can we please do away with the NFL schedule release? I’ll share my displeasure of the past couple of days. Plus, what did the Pittsburgh Steelers do to The Shield to deserve a gauntlet over the final eight games where SIX of those are in the division. WHAT!!?? Speaking of schedules, I’ll talk about the big games that’ll open up the college football season starting on Labor Day weekend.

(52:16) Is anyone paying attention to what’s going on in MLB? It’s been rather quiet over the past few days. I’ll get into a pitcher (Astros Ronel Blanco) who was suspended earlier in the week for using sticky stuff. Also, the Mets struggles as they haven’t won a series in almost a month. I’ll peek at what are the top matchups over the coming weekend.

(57:05) The Preakness is Saturday. Derby winner Mystik Dan will race against a field of eight horses. (Wait! EIGHT?!) And heavy favorite Muth has been scratched due to a spiked fever. Is this set up for Mystik Dan to win and have a shot at the Triple Crown? Or to fail based on the sparse field and a top horse out of the lineup?

NBA’s 2nd Round: Nuggets Alive, Pacers Thrive, Thunder Survive? NHL: Rangers-Panthers Battle For East? Stars Shine, Oilers Letdown. NFL Opening Night Blockbuster. Mystik Dan All In At Preakness

(46:07) An AFC Championship Game rematch kicks off the NFL season as the schedule will be released Wednesday evening.

(50:21) MLB is on the down low. I discuss the Phillies still being hot as they invade New York this week. The Mets salvage embarrassment and a series vs. Atlanta. Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes major league debut, plus a feat that we haven’t seen in 65 years.

(57:52) Why Kentucky Derby winner, Mystik Dan, who’ll run the second leg of Horse Racing’s Triple Crown on Saturday at the Preakness is not a good thing for the sport?
