NFL's COVID Calamity! WK 12 Winners & Losers. Irish Keeps Top Four In Tact, NCAA Hoops Upsets, Why AD Is MIA? Rays Snell Wants Out? Tyson-Jones Spectacle: Why?
We’re a month away from putting this year out of our psyche, but first things first, I have plenty of thoughts to expound on as I close out November with tons to discuss in the sports world as I present, Episode 166. On deck:
(3:16) The impact of the coronavirus throughout the NFL (i.e. Baltimore Ravens outbreak, postponement and rescheduling of games, Niners need a new ‘home’, Denver quarterbacks, etc.) My winners and losers of Week 12, including what was the NFL to do with the Saints-Broncos game? Will Philadelphia leapfrog over Washington and the Giants for first place in the NFC Least. The Trevor Lawrence Sweepstakes. Similarities between the Bills and Browns? Kansas City upends Tampa Bay. A preview of Ravens-Steelers tomorrow night.
(35:28) Notre Dame holds the #2 spot in college football highlights the Thanksgiving weekend schedule with big losses for Oregon, Northwestern and Texas along the way. Will there be a shakeup among the top four teams in the country?
(39:52) College basketball introduces itself to the sports landscape with a few upsets (i.e. Kentucky, Villanova and Virginia) in its first week of the season.
(41:33) With the NBA exhibition season to start next week, are we any closer to Anthony Davis signing with the Lakers? Why the long pause? Is there a mystery team lurking to surprise us all? Also, Bam Adebayo re-signs with the Heat. Will the Bucks offer the supermax to Giannis Antetekoumpo before the season begins? More COVID-19 protocols in place.
(49:46) The MLB Hot Stove has very little cooking (i.e. Charlie Morton and Mike Minor) but Blake Snell may be looking for a new address. My thoughts on the potential rumor and the state of the Rays organization!
(54:36) The Roy Jones Jr. vs. Mike Tyson exhibition wasn’t on my radar. I’ll explain the need why and as much as we want to clown Nate Robinson for getting knocked out, I’ll go the other way and share why that isn’t a good idea (even if the circumstances call for it)
(58:45) I’ll spend a moment to remember the life of soccer legend, Diego Maradona.
(59:41) Plus, my Hero and Zero of the Week.
